The thing is that they _have_ to sit through the cinematic to get the fastest time, since NPCs still move about during them, and they don't count towards the run time.

@@cannedmustard yep, certainly took far more time to learn all those tricks/glitches than it'd take to complete the game normally.

@@idarkstarx6939 Not really, the amount of dedication that speedrunners put into games is far higher than someone who might pick up a game, play it over the weekend, maybe play it over the course of a month at most, then move on to another game. Both are valid ways to approach games but to say a game that seems to encourage speedrunning is being "insulted" by speedrunners being speedrunners is a bit silly.

it's because on every Hitman map, the exits are available 3 seconds after all objectives are complete. Except on Mendoza, where it is 6 seconds. So he had time to waste. Still a nice flex though

Basically what you do is you open up a level, then run into an npc for 3 or so seconds until you kinda glitch into them. You then exit the level and all npcs won't have collision until you close and open the game again.

i feel that. there seems to have been a sweet spot a while back where new WRs each contributed something clever and changed the way i thought about the game. the WRs being set now are just nonsense lol. maybe there should be a category where you can't do NPC alert exploits. they're fair to use obviously but i just don't enjoy watching them, oversimplifies the game.

When guards panic (exclamation mark over head) from excessive shots fired at them - usually a SMG - and you quickly move from your firing position without being seen, they won't recognize you as you run past because they're looking for the 'shooter'. It's very situational and not as consistent as this might seem.

In hitman, you have an unlimited inventory so you can pick up and store small items from the entire map and the devs probably made it that if you're in your inventory, the game "pauses" for easier gameplay purposes and less tension

@@HQUSEN Ok, thanks for info I'm gonna try it more then, I did menage to pull off farewell mission in 40 sec SA/SO (have to flex with that haha) and since I'm quite new to the game and don't have equipment for some other mission runs Dubai was my next but it's hard.
