I took the slow and steady approach so that it can be easier to follow, especially on some of the more maze like levels ;)

Note: This walkthrough was made by someone that hasn't played Codename 47 in many years, I just simply booted the game up, messed around the levels to get my bearings and then restarted and hit record. If you see me stumbling on some of the later levels, now you know why ;)

This is so nostalgic, omg. I am 32 years old and this game brings back so good memories. The soundtrack, the voice actor, the character and the whole atmosphere. It is sooo good. Thanks for this walkthrough. I really enjoyed it.

This is an underrated play through. I cannot believe it has so few views / thumb's ups / comments. Well, you'll have a full viewing from me, a thumbs up, this comment and a subscribe : ) I started on Hitman 2: Silent Assassin so it's great seeing a proper and professional play through of the original. Thanks for the little things, like approaching things in a way that makes it easy for first timers seeing the map on a KZfaq video as well as scrolling through the mission briefings so that we can read them. Props to Jesper Kyd and the IOI / Eidos teams for making this superb considering it is 22 years old. It's a crime that Jesper Kyd isn't still doing the music but to some degree, I can see why they wanted to change the format whereby there is no more non-stop music. Still, Jesper Kyd's scores were and still are superb!

Thanks for the kind words! It's the sole reason I did this playthrough this way, it's easier for a newcomer to follow my steps. Sprinting about the levels would be just confusing :) I also have a H2:SA walkthrough video uploaded in a similar style but it's only halfway through and I'm not sure if I'll have the time to do the other half any time soon :(

This game brings back outstanding memories. The automatic weapons were too great of a temptation so there was zero stealth involved. Just murder everyone and make it to the exit

Thank you for posting this. Being a console gamer, this is the only Hitman game I don’t own and haven’t played (except the levels they re-used).

Never had been so damn frustrated by a game ever. It always took ages to figure out how to complete most missions and the lack of complete stealth didn't help either. But considering that it's a 20 year old game it's not that bad.

At that time, stealth games were still in infancy, only know of Thief 1 and 2, Metal Gear Solid (PS1) and Deus Ex 1 that got release before Codename 47 and those also had their fare share of frustration.

This wouldn't be a problem if the game had normal saves. Having to start a level all over again every time you make a mistake just kills this game for me.

What mod do you used for the camera? it looks like a point and click game

It's not a mod. Check the controlls in the options menu to find the key for the secondary camera :)

How'd you get the camera to be so far behind 47? For me it's basically locked to his shoulders and up and there are no cinematic angles.

Head over to PCGamingWiki, search for Hitman: Codename 47 and somewhere on the page there's a patch named *Widescreen fix by nemesis2000*, simply download that and extract the archived files into your game folder. You can change some settings by modifying the h47(dot)ini. In-game for the video settings, I used: Resolution: overrided by the widescreen patch Colordepth: 32 bit Shadows: All Texture quallity: Full Display driver: Direct3D Anisotropic filtering, Full-scene antialising and Full screen options checked _everything else unchecked_ Hope this helps :)

Clunky in what way? Game is running too fast / slow for you? I only used a patch to increase the draw distance and changed some settings in the Nvidia control panel to force antialiasing and cap the framerate to 60 fps, that's pretty much it.

Hi I have a question ebcasue i have graphics issue in Hitman Codename 47. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/oKd3jMmXzZixe4k.html i see some textures of houses in Level 2 Hong Kong only if come near to them. What is the reason? I see no Draw distance problem for textures in this video. What can I do? Please help. I got this problem with old System WIn 98/ XP and with windows 7 an d10 too...

So the in-game settings I used while recording the video are as following: Display driver - Direct3D Anisotropic filtering, full-scene antialiasing and full screen ON Texture compression, palette compression and vertex lighting OFF I also used a widescreen / drawdistance patch, you can find it on ps2wide . net/ And that's pretty much it, hope it helps :)

@@retro4fun358 It might cause your game to lag, depends on your PC. You could test it out and increase the distance little by little to see how far you can push it.

Poate ca nu stii despre canalul meu de KZfaq,dar sunt sigur ca ma cunoști de pe Hitman Forum unde ma numeam IlikeHitmam.Am auzit ca ai vrut sa ți se șteargă contul de pe forum.Imi pare foarte rău că ai luat aceasta decizie.Erai un membru foarte activ acolo si sunt sigur ca iti voi simți lipsa.☹ Desi nu știu prea multe despre conflictul in care ai fost implicat,nu înțeleg de ce ai luat o măsură atât de drastica.Sper sa mai vorbim și poate ca intr-o zi te vei gandi sa te întorci cu un cont nou pe forum.

Salut, chiar nu stiam ca ai cont de YT :P Blestem thread-ul cu General News. Numai probleme am avut cu el de cand m-am inregistrat pe forum. Ultimele doua postari s-au considerat *Hate speech*. Nu m-as fi simtit okay sa vizitez un forum in care pot fi vazut de unii membri ca un rasist ignorant. Mare prostie cu astfel de thread-uri pe un forum de gaming... Sure, putem tine legatura, ti-am dat subscribe, add me daca ai cont de Steam. Same name, same avatar ca pe forum :P

Parerea mea este ca doar cativa membri nu constituie majoritatea.Nu pot zice daca ai gresit sau nu,dar sa stii ca deja am vazut multi membri care iti simt lipsa. Eu nu sunt nici pro,nici contra unor astfel de thread-uri pe un forum de gaming,deoarece nu am fost si probabil ca nu voi fi in continuare interesat de acestea.Sincer sa fiu cred ca astazi este prima zi in care am accesat General News 3.0.Ai fi putut ramane pe forum si ai fi putut ignora acest thread.Exista si optiunea de a-i da mute pt a-l ascunde de pe forum( probabil ca nu multi stiu despre aceasta optiune).
