Did this hike in December of 2021. Added it to the traditional Trans-Madeira hike. Camped on the coast at the end of the hike. Probably the best camping spot ever. Was absolutely incredible. Would recommend this hike absolutely - as a day hike or overnight. If you want to avoid crowds go early morning, or later afternoon (but bring a headlamp!). Cannot wait to come back to Madeira.

Just hiked this today was fun but very windy! I for sure recommend grabbing food at the bar it made the return hike much easier

Couldn’t agree more and yes sometimes it’s windy, it’s right on the tip of the island so it catches all the winds. Glad you enjoyed it 🙏

Yay Hiking, one of my favorite spots. I spend a whole day there, chilling enjoying the views and at the end swimming to feel rejuvenated after the long hot day.

Definitely one of the most beautiful hikes in Madeira. I so much regret we didn’t get to do it last time, but next time 100%. Great advice with doing it very early in the morning. Wonderful shots that you got. 😊 Have a nice weekend! 🤗

Hi Jeff - Thanks for another great video. We did the hike in March and also started early in the morning when there were few other people around. However, on the way back it was really busy with lots of hikers who had started later. The next time we do the hike, we'll take your excellent advice and take the boat back to avoid the crowds. Ponta de São Lourenço was a good starter hike for us, before we took on the Pico do Areeiro to Pico Ruivo challenge a couple of days later. Great video as always from you and your crew. Ciao.

eu gostei da Ponta de São Lourenço. É a parte que parece mais vulcânica da ilha, é fixe dá para ver as outras ilhas à distancia. É bonito. É daquelas partes da ilha que me esqueço sempre o nome. A caminho tem aquela urbanização privada. Pode-se la entrar?

Thanks Jeff, Verónica & André ☺ I did exactly the same route as you back in April, even the return journey to Quinta do Lorde, & I must say Madeira Sea Emotions staff were very friendly & a credit to their company! kzfaq.info/get/bejne/lZ1_pZtyy5vNXWw.html Careful now because if there's two Verónicas you're definitely in trouble lol! 🤣 I love drone hand catches, it's such a poser thing to do! 😁 Unfortunately I forgot to launch it from the boat as I was enjoying the moment, that's probably why they named it Sea Emotions!
