Ned Chang compares the Rodan action figure by Hiya Toys to the S.H. MonsterArts, NECA, and Jakks Pacific Rodan action figures. He also shows the Bandai Movie Monster Series and the Art Spirits Rodan figures.
This Rodan toy is part of the Hiya Toys Exquisite Basic series of action figures.
These Rodan toys are based on the 2019 Legendary MonsterVerse movie Godzilla King of the Monsters.
We also show the Hiya Toys Mothra and King Ghidorah action figrues.

I'm nervous about that wire over time, but I applaud Hiya for doing something different. While I prefer the NECA paint scheme (it really makes him look like a fire demon), I do like the paint applications on this. Their Godzilla and Kong are so good. This looks like the best Rodan by far.

If Hiya manages to keep their Ghidorah under 100, then they really are the damn GOAT in terms of quality Godzilla figures. Hope they do old Toho stuff Showa to Millennium.

Ghidorah finally!!!! Can't wait to get my hands on that. Hiya toys has done a really good job on the monsterverse figures, I still really like what neca have done with rodan and mothra especially when both have awesome custom stands.

Whats funny about the comparison photos is the NECA & SHMA have the same head & wings design, while the HIYA Toys & Jakks Pacific have the same head & wings design.

In all honesty, I feel this is one of the few examples where bendy wires are actually preferable. The fluidity the wires provide give his wings a seamless motion that Neca and SHMA just could not provide. At first I was on the fence with this fella, at surface value he looked like Neca's mould with SHMA wings, but Hiya really stepped up to the plate for this spicy chicken. Good job Hiya.
