The only one sweeter was the one I used on a repetition drill when I got to attach a 40mm HK79 grenade launcher. I really liked the thumb trigger. The burst option on the selector is very nice, though. I would have preferred a 2-round burst to full auto any day with 7.62 Nato.

@nagoogle8542 possibly. I can't recall off the top of my head which part of the G3 is the registered machine gun, but I think it is the upper. Non-machine guns have been physically altered, so you can not attach a selective fire trigger group to it. IIRC, semi-auto only guns do not attach using the pin in front of the trigger group.

I served for turkish army for 6 months and I had a training with this gun. It has a super recoil I mean you could barely break your nose with its recoil but I had a chance to get a training with AK but this one is nothing like I love the durability and accuracy of this weapon. Best assualt weapon on the market.

We had a lot of transitions in our military after the restoration of Independence in 1990. First, standrad issue rifles were AKM's. Then Americans donated M14s, with scopes also (those are now our ceremonial rifles, I think they are really cool looking for that purpose, without scopes of course), I may be wrong but I know for a fact we re-ronated those to Ukrainian Territorial Defense in 2022 and some were with foldable stocks - I though even in America those were very rare? Then we either bought for symbolic price or also got donations from Germans (both USA and Germany helped us generously throughout history tbh) these ones like in the video, maybe not some fancy modification, but just plain good ol' G3's. The M14 and G3 period was when we were just about to join NATO in 2004, G3's stayed in service for way longer and I know we still have them in stock as they are from what I understand good rifles? We switched to that new fancy HK rifle that also has a light machinegun variation, forgot how it's called, but guys who served not that long ago said the G3 is often still being brought out to shooting ranges and and those who love sharp shooting (?) say that they really love the G3 for that purpose and that it can hit way further - sorry I have not fired neither of these, sadly (I have a criminal record so they do not take me into the military). Also the G3 is being used by paramilitry organisation Riflemen Union, and there are caches of these rifles and ammo for them (for a country of 2,7 million we have new ammunition factory and we even export it and fullfill our own needs fully, I think they produce even more heavy duty armamanets) in case the war breaks out. I always wanted to shoot it really bad and most ranges do not have G3. They often have these old strange things like PPS43, weird Polish AKM variations, I mean stuff that we did never use in our armed forces or police, but standard issue rifle like G3 is I don't know where can be found to just go pay and shoot at the range. PS for EU, we have pretty good and reasonable gun laws, you can own and carry pistols for self defense (all kinds of handguns), own shotguns for self defense, sport or hunting or just collection (but you cannot carry those for protection), also rifles like AR platforms and others, but only semi auto sadly, nothing full auto. I saw some Slovakian made SMGs for sale but don't think they are actually full auto but I'd have to check. There is no limitation on how many firearms you can own. But you MUST keep them in a locked safe, when not in use. If you have more than 5 guns, you gotta have alarm installed at home. And obviously no criminal record like felonies and no mental health issues. So, a normal, regular person from the age of 16-21 can own these things (sports shooting and hunting is from 16 and 18 respectively, and self defense and concealed carry is from 21). This, in comparisson to the rest of Europe, Russia and many other countries, are one of the best gun laws in the region. I guess Czechs have way better laws as they have such long gun culture and actual gun design and manufacturing experience I think it is in their blood, these things and it is really cool :)

In Greece, we are using G3A3s as the main infantry rifle (officers are using the A4-collapsible stock model). I might never see any combat or haven't had the opportunity to use any other rifles (apart from the HK11, M2 and G3) but whether you want it or not, the piece of equipment you are using to protect your life and your country, grows on you. (Or maybe I like guns). I'd really want to be able to use such a G3 modification in a range one day.

You actually fire the M203 with your left hand. That way you are able to fire the rifle and it protects your left hand in case a 40mm kabooms in the aluminum barrel.

@@Jack-sh6xr not neutered. The way US law works is once a machine gun always a machine gun. You can’t covert a select fire to semi auto only and have to be legal. Colt sells or at least did sell semi auto only civilian and law enforcement rifles marked M4 carbine.

If it’s a 7.62x51 it’s not a submachine gun. Submachine gun uses pistol calibers. Unless you’re Korean, they categorize their guns differently.
