MegaronKnives thanks for watching! I try to take a more laid back and practical approach, as opposed to structured reviews that look at certain points and nothing else.

@@palmettoedge1908 i like it. Need to check more of your videos out. Watching your Microtech collection overview right now actually. Nice stuff you got there!

Smokey mountain knife works has it on sale for $179 right now. It's going to be my first otf. For that money I couldn't find anything else that was even comparable. Awesome review. Helped me make the purchase. Thank you. New subscriber

Wow that is a great price! Might have to get myself another for that price. It’s a great OTF.

@@palmettoedge1908 I just checked again. Must have been so low bc it was the last one in stock. They do have the mini incursion for the same price though!

I have this knife too. It's great. I recently purchased the Benchmade Phaeton OTF. It is the exact same knife. The only difference is the CNC milling on the outside of the body. The Hadron's button tension is a little tighter but that's about it. Thanks.

Any experience with the Kershaw Livewire? I'm trying to decide between the two and can't handle either

I had an Ultratech and got rid of it. Looked great but internally it was weak. Dropped it on accident, on concrete and it broke. Microtech fixed it for free but I couldn't believe it broke.

Does yours rattle when open? How about closed? When closed i hear a low clangy sound, when open it rattles a lot with the blade play. Wondering if it is normal or something is wrong/loose. Thanks
@palmettoedge19083 жыл бұрын
Nick Aus if I thrash it around hard I can make it rattle just a little bit, both open and closed. It’s just from some blade play and is nothing to be worried about with an OTF.

Ah i see. Sounds cheap i dont like it but appears to come with the territory. Thanks for reply

Are these as hard to open and close as ultratechs? I want to gift an otf but looking for an easier slider
@palmettoedge19083 жыл бұрын
No these are much easier than Ultratechs and a good gifting option in my opinion. Nice quality OTF without completely breaking the bank.

Try the compound or incursion

I have an akc f-16 with less play seriously and the extreme evo little to no play. no ones goes over the play or wobble on reviews. yes I had an ultratech.bgreat video. I agree to disagree with you. lightning can use for edc task. blade steel probably sets the difference with the microtech and the s# and its rep imo

I’m so glad I watched this video..I currently have a couple cheap OTFs I bought just to play around with and even those 2 OTFs have impressed me,at least with how well they have held up and how well they function..with that being said,they are clearly cheap Chinese knives made with cheap materials (440c stainless blades and cheap painted cast aluminum handles)..those cheap OTFs proven much more durable than I had ever expected so now I know the Microtechs,Benchmade,Guardian Tactical,etc are worth the price (well,I find it disappointing Benchmade charges $400+ for the Infidel with a D2 blade)..Hogue makes great knives and the Hadron is at $200 w/stonewashed blade-$220 black DLC blade right now on KnifeCenter and I was really considering picking one up since it’s only $200 but I’ve been eyeing the Microtech Ultratech 1)Microtech has spent years earning its reputation in the OTF market 2)the Ultratech will be M390,204P or Elmax 3)they are beautiful knives with many different colors,blade styles and blade finishes...after watching your video and seeing you speak so highly of the Ultratech in comparison to the Hadron,Ive decided I’m gonna just spend the extra $70 and get the Ultratech (I’m really digging the turquoise with the black blade)
@palmettoedge19084 жыл бұрын
Garrett Ferrell the Hadron is a great OTF, but you definitely won’t go around spending a little extra for an Ultratech. Hope you enjoy it!

I also have a review of the Ultratech if you want to check it out. It’s one of my older videos, so you may have to scroll a little bit through my catalog.

oh yea benchmade makes good knives but there otf suck IMO. they should stop making otf. what do you think,? l
@palmettoedge19084 жыл бұрын
I’ve honestly never even held one. They don’t interest me at all. I think they’re overpriced for what you get and for those prices I would MUCH rather get a Microtech, Heretic, or Guardian Tactical.
