Károly Németh Old comment, but I can't help myself. The Sisters of Battle are suggested to actually *generate* their own powers. Essentially, the warp is a big cauldron powered by emotions, basically, they believe *so* hard, that they actually do recieve an amount of protection from faith.

The only reason I rank the Imperial Guard above the Gun-Nuns, is because the SoB use Power Armor. Lacking that advantage against His foes makes me adore the most out of all of the Imperium's forces.

The Adeptus Sororitas, or the Sisters of Battle in layman's terms, in the Warhammer 40k universe they act as the main military arm of the Inquisition and are mostly focused on rooting out heretics (usually in the form of Chaos worshipers.)

No, it's unknown if they are a device(like power wings) or if they are part of there body and acquired by outer means, but living saints have functional wings, Celestine,Katherine,Anais if you want examples. The fluff will probably never give a clear answer on why or how but they got them, but they got them.

indeed they have very few if any of the upgrades that the marines do like the device that filters out poisons. but they do get power armour corsets which makes them awesome in my eyes

spoken like a true believe of the Emperor, there is nothing more sweeter then playing some MMORPG, and you have many people behind you, and you shout a warcry while attacking an enemy. ALL GUARDSMEN FOLLOW ME TO GLORY! FOR THE EMPEROR! And you charge first into the enemy, the feeling is amazing.

The actual model has no wings. The wings are only on the illustrations. The model has some drape hold by bionic cherubs. But it's a very popular modification of the model to add wings, because it looks so cool !

Something to keep in mind, Astartes Battle Armor does give quite a few advangtages, but the core of what makes a Space Marine a Space Marine is his geneseed. Those implants are what give him the superhuman strength, toughness, and many other abilities (spitting acid, able to go into stasis, adapt to radiation, wear their armor like a second skin, and gain the memories of consumed foes off the top of my head). Not saying that the Sororitas can't fire bolters with one hand, just informing.

There are human sized varients of astartes weaponry as well. In the fluff a space marine's boltgun is much more devastating then one that can be wielded by a human. Don't forget guardsmen use heavy bolters and boltguns as well.

there are a few editions if I recall 3rd edition had wings rather then cherubs. You can't get it new so it's rather moot now.

Lorgar wrote the Lectitio Divinitatus, the tome that was the foundation the Imperial cult has it's oldest roots in, that others abstracted and defined the imperial cult of the 41st millenium thousands of years after the heresy doesn't make his work less pivotal in it's orgins.

Before,various clergy had to have a lot of knowledge to maintain their religion and people depended on them for help(from medicine to construction to agriculture and such).It wasn't until acnient greece that the clergy started to be separated from advancement of humankind(most other cultures continued,even chinese).Like I previously said,one of many reasons of existence of religion was to explain the world arround them and as some hope and help.If clergy failed,it meant the end for that religion

Imperial Creed= Lectitio Divinitatus Temple of the Savior Empeoror was based around the Imperial creed, and as the Sisters of battle are fanatical defenders of the imperial creed, they were heavily influenced by Lorgar. Thor, did not so much influence there faith(they had that already), he set up there current structure.

Good for you. How is that related to the fact that Fatidicus is the founder of the Ecclesiarchy's belief ? He did not base himself on the Lectitio Divinatus. As long as the Horus Heresy book do not cover the aftermath of the Heresy, years after the Siege of Terra, we have to rely on the last source mentioning Fatidicus (Codex Sisters of Battle), which did NOT mention the Lectitio Divinatus, but do mention the fact that there was OTHER cults of the Emperor existed before but got destroyed.

No. There has only been one model, and one model only, for Celestine. Just like almost the whole Sisters range. Only Canoness, Immolators and some special weapon had two different versions.

Well, Codex Sisters of Battle clearly says that there was many different imperial cults that erupted right after the end of the heresy, yet Fatidicus created the Temple of the Savior Emperor from the Emperor speaking to him in his dream, and that right after the Heresy, during which he directly fought int the battle of Terra. No mention of any Lectitio Divinatus or any other book anywhere. I guess the lore that the sisters of battle hold sacred are the words of Fatidicus and Thor, not Lorgar :P.

Yes...as well as the bible.And I know history of both,as well as how they changed through time(which used to be typical to religions and this mostly depended on masses and those who manage to manipulate them,similar to how Chatolic church became unpopular due to changing a lot of beliefs that had a sterm hold amongst the masses or they did not get it,during renaissance,while at the same time reaching the hight of its corruption and misuse of power.That added up to reformistic church

I try to tell all the age of empires fans I meet to try warhammer 40k. I was asked why. I told them that their priest has a stick, my priest has a nine-foot long anti-tank chainsaw. he shut up quickly.

so if the sisters can´t hold a godwin pattern bolter then how is it they can hold up heavier weapons like the heavy bolter, heavy flamer and the multi melta? because THEY ARE WEARING POWERED ARMOR, and power armor is not an armor just for protection it is more. the space marines have augmented strength no argument but the armor is made to take the load of any weapon you carry even a bolter.

3rd Do you know what the location of the oldest town in the world and why it was built,including its meghalitic temples?Northern Iraq and it was built because of religion.This actually predates agriculture,which isn't really surprising if you think about how much time it would take to develop agriculture and conditions(meaning staying put for long time and a way of passing down knowledge).They also found out that later from that location came agriculture
