Hello everybody and welcome back to Hmmsim Metro!
We're back in Seoul today, driving a couple of scenarios including the more modern variant of the Seoul subway stock. It's a nice quiet run and to be fair I don't do too badly... if I do say so myself!!

Really enjoying this series. Maybe it's the being shouted at in Korean or the amazing Networker traction motor impression or just the fact that the orchestral tunes make you think you're on Titanic as it's slowly sinking into the North Atlantic, whatever it is, I'm looking forward to more in this series and what the developers have in store going forward. Good stuff Joe, keep it up :)

Someone has been practicing that power changeover ;) as that is such a challenge when you first need to do it. The Speed limit is in the guide its variable dependent where you are most of the overground section is 90Kph, Underground mainly 75Kph unless your under a Y restriction (yellow signal and Y next to ATS thats 45Kph) or YY restriction that is 25Kph restriction. Hope that helps a tad.

How did you learn how to drive the train? Is there an English version?

I have only been to one station in Seoul. It was samseong because I went to that area for a few days. It was quite nice actually.

The blue train you mentioned earlier is a Korean high-speed train called KTX. Now that this is a game, The name was changed to HTX by taking the first letter 'H' of Hmmsim and pasting it as it is. In addition, Korean subway announcements play music at the transfer station or the final station. It is music that was actually used before 2002~2010, and Now we are using Korean traditional music and logo song

Hey mate I’ve actually been to Seoul a lot of times in real life and the realism in the game is actually incredible. I think you were driving line 1 from the Seoul underground. I used to stay a lot around Gangnam so I used to take a lot Line 2 and Line 9. I really hope that they add all Seoul metro lines as I think it is a really cool metro system with a lot of overground and underground parts. The orchestra sound is actually there and some announcements at some stations also include Chinese and Japanese in other lines. Thanks for playing this and I’ll be picking it up. By the way could you do a tutorial on how to do scenarios for TS2021 (I think a lot of them are outdated). Oh and I think that the max speed on the Seoul metro is 80km/h and speed limits vary from 70 km/h and 45km/h.

Thanks for the feedback Russifu2! I completely agree with you the metro system in Seoul is a very interesting one, I’ve been watching some KZfaq videos of the real thing myself! I may get round to the train sim scenario thing! No promises but I’ll add it to the lengthy list

I’m half Korean and I lived there for a long time and I love the metro. The sounds are right on and I have been on the ITX, KTX, KTX 2 or sanchon, and lines from 1-9 and I lived by line 4 so it was my fav. I also loved line 6 because we would take that to go to the movies. I also went on special lines like the airport subway/ train and a subway with no drivers so self driving subway. So this is a great game and I picked it up the first day it came out

Yes when I listened to the music on KZfaq for the subways it almost made me cry because you would always hear them

Now that hmmsim metro is the route has been extended in this game. It is from Yeongdeungpo to Geumcheon-gu Office. Even express trains can be operated.

@@JoeDobsongaming When driving an express train, we recommend taking the express train to Seoul Station. Because this express train stops at far fewer stations than other trains, and the track runs on the KTX or passenger train tracks, not on the subway side.

I liked that overground segment. It slightly alleviates the issue I have with claustrophobic metro maps. This game definitely has potential. I'm actually genuinely curious what it'll look like once they develop it further. Though to be honest, it's not something I'd be interested in if it's just the one line. Yes, yes, I did drive the 92 in Spandau for like two damn years straight, but...but that was different.

I think the graphics are really good to be honest with you to say it’s early access, I think they will expand onto other lines... maybe like tramsim where there’ll be DLC lines as you go? I’m hoping you can just drive the full route up and down at some point rather than having to do little scenarios

Great video! Subbed! Cant believe how realistic it looks, I remember playing Hmmsim years ago and although it was good, compared to this its Nothing lol! Glad to see its gone far. Also you maybe know that that orchestral music/announcements is called?

5:41 KTX. (Korea Train eXpress) But there's copyright on things like logo, so K became H. For example, real company in korea is Korail, but it became Hmrail. Same thing applied for KTX too.

This looks great. Very tempted to buy. Did you find a way of isolating the space bar ? Even though it's early access it could do with a map along the bottom of the stations and speeds and a tutorial in other languages. They have also stated they have added a button to isolate the DSD. Hopefully, it's on their list to come. According to their updates on Steam they are putting in English and other language. Also how much space does it take on your PC ?

@@MrNg50 no problem dude 😁👍 If you need more info about requirements and such, scroll down on the Steampage for any game you'd like to check if it works for your computer and check the "system-requirements" and "recommended" section. After that go to your computers setting and do the following: 1) press about 2) check your pc's specs if your specs fulfill the following requirements for the game you look at, you're good to go. If the game has a demo available, try installing that, before you buy and install the full game. This way, you can make sure the game runs smoothly too. If no demo is available, ask your parents or a friend for advice before buying the game you want 😁👍
