Yeah it explains todays world soft prison sentences for rape and peodophiles . If only it was eye for an eye. You get more time for money motivated offenses than attacking innocence woman and children . Disgusting the police is favorite 3 letters NFA useless

I wrote to a number of prisons recently on a freedom of information request,for the number of drug overdoses during lockdown. As prisoners were stopped from having visitors for over a year. If that doesn't show that screws bring it in,when nobody else had access to them...then I don't know what will. I'm sure I'll get replies when pigs really do fly. I'm a safeguarding officer so you'd think they'd have answered the first time I asked 🤔

You echo my sentiments and experiences 100 percent. However them screws ain't paid enough so temptation, threats and intimidation will always be a problem.

@@Mangraper of course dude. Its just a little way of showing them what they already know so they can't demy it any longer. None of them will have had enough to supply a jail for over a year of no visits. I'm still awaiting a reply from them. I've worked I enough jails to know lol.

@@Cerebalpaulsys i know many,you know of some. I'm sure most jails have at least 1 rogue screw. I just think they'll need to answer some questions of they release the information. They have another 28 days before I send letters of complaints and all correspondence to local Mps. Im just one person but it's a fight I can't stop myself having 🙈

A serial paedophile got an IPP with minimum 6yrs,he did not engage with services and ended up serving 12yrs.IPPs do work and should be brought back

was in garth 2015-2020, lot of spice there. was getting reams of a4 soaked in it just posted in. i know the guy with the clipboard and used to play poker on a wing with him.

@@alexblue6991 how long for as its a short term jail? And no, Barlinnie ain't a holiday camp, I've been, it's an easy jail if you keep out of trouble with screws and you've no issues from outside.

Garth, in my opinion, was the most relaxed place I've ever served at. I don't mean its a wonderful life I meant very little violence and although the mentality will always be "them and us", practically no assaults by either. How things change....
