This amphibious transport dock is capable of carrying 400 sailors and Royal Marines with a huge range of skills and experience, from technicians and engineers to medics and chefs.
The loading dock of HMS Albion is packed with the trucks, machinery and water craft her crew use to carry out their duties. The ship also carries emergency supplies for use in disaster relief operations, from food supplies to water pumps.
She has been used on numerous operations during her 20-year service which has seen her go across the globe with the Royal Navy.
HMS Albion has been described as the Royal Navy’s ‘Swiss Army knife’ - and for good reason.

It was built by B.A.E. Systems. Not Bay Systems. And her sister is Bulwark. Not Bulwick 😀 and if I’m to be honest, a few more commas would be helpful.

Both of the Albion's are out of operational service until 2024, lets hope we don't need one or both before then.

It's definitely not small.. It's parked up just outside my home right now and quite an intimidating looking ship with the phalanx sitting up front
