My dad was a gun layer on the 5.25 guns, he served from December 1944 and died this year, thanks pop for your service and to all the other sailors who served in the senior service.

They didn't come much tougher than HMS Formidable, but her most famous claim to fame is also on KZfaq. She was famously known as 'The Ship Who Launched Herself'. There was a war to be won and she didn't have time to waste!!
