Hoa means "flower" in Vietnamese. As this is a game made by Vietnamese as well as influenced by Vietnamese culture, the title is gaining a lot of attention from Vietnam. It's a pride for us as we don't have much popularity in gaming field. Thank you so much for the review. Can't wait to download it tonight!

I could totally see a sort of "Evil Sims" style game where you're an HOA manager trying to drive property values up by making the residents miserable. ... Actually, I'm a little surprised no one's done that.

I think there was a "sim" game about landlords that was just released. Yup, here it is. store.steampowered.com/app/1009560/The_Tenants/ I don't think it's exactly what you described, but pretty close.

The music too. Seems like a lot of game soundtracks these days are taking inspiration from 90s-00s Joe Hisaishi.

I recognized the name as "Flower" in Vietnamese, and sure enough it was developed here. It turns out that a lot of the background works in anime these days are outsourced to other countries like Vietnam, so I wouldn't be surprised if there were already a lot of artists experienced with making Ghibli style art lending their talents for this game.

There is a game that was recently announced that is being described as Ghibli + Zelda. It looks good. Hopefully it turns out to be good.

Sounds like a game tailored towards a younger audience, who have less experience with complex narratives and can engage with the simplicity more. Which goes hand in hand with the gameplay.

Agreed, but I like these games sometimes. Where you can just enjoy your time there with a low stress situation. It’s good for the mind. Also love the name. Big Invader Zim fan

After playing games like Monster Hunter Rise, Paper Mario Origami King (YES, a Mario game), and Dark Souls, sometimes you just need a peaceful-relaxing game. Plus, I love 2Dish art.

@@WillCBlogs We call it lots of ways depending on the region. In the South we call it more like Ho-ah. Or even Hu-ah. But there are places where it's called Ho-uh as well. So no wrong answers (as least as I have seen).
