I assume he bought the house across the street 30 yrs ago, when Code Enforcement came down on him about the hoarded yard. In 15 yrs he had that 2nd place full, then she probably had a stroke that left her catatonic and thus he was able to start filling up the inside of the house. He sounded "elated" that he was finally able to do that.

When Tim said “don’t change me” she should have run the other direction. Everyone adapts to their partner when they get married - Tim used his education to keep his wife from having any opinions, expressing desires or being healthy in exchange for buying and filling their home with dangerous trash. She’s clearly in distress and has nobody to help her out of this situation. He’ll never change, he said so 52 years ago.
@tarag7292

He knows he’s sucked the life out of her and enjoyed it. He chuckled when he said his wife was too sick to stop him from hoarding their house. The stress of living with him probably impacted her physical and mental health. He stopped his wife from talking by berating the therapist for asking a simple, standard shrink question. “How does Wilhelmina feel”? That question threatened him.

My brother in law was a mechanic who kept bringing projects home. My sister treasured her books and craft stuff. When they both passed away rather young (for our family), my nephew and I spent a year cleaning out the house and garage for sale. There was actually a lot of nice stuff for charity, a few nifty collectibles that local dealers snapped up, and the scrap metal paid for the dumpsters for all the rest! But now I'm anxious to get rid of my excess stuff, bit by bit.

Tim would be super frustrating to be around! He's sucked the life and health out of Wilhemina.

Mental health professionals are the worst at admitting they also need help. Ive almost dated a couple of them who kept on me but wouldn't admit they were the ones who had issues

I always heard they went into the mental health profession to get help for themselves 😆

Whoa. Jaw drop!! My entire house is the size of his first floor...and it feels HUGE!! (Plus, there's a handful of people and a few pets living in my house.) I truly wish that their next 52 years are happy, hopeful and healthy, so I'm so sad that he decided to not do aftercare. Wilhemina seems like a very sweet lady. She deserves happiness.

I'm not bad enough to be called a hoarder (outside of family) but I've already taken 3 trailer loads of trash to the landfill while preparing to move. Some of it was carpeting, flooring and other renovation debris, but still a lot and more to go.

The really sad part of these shows is that most end up back doing the same thing. If they revisit in two years most will have more stuff hauled in.

I feel so bad for his wife. He took advantage of his wifes medical issue and acted like a selfish 2yr old only thinking of himself! Oh n sorry to tell you Tim but things are only worth what people are willing to pay!

This was the ending that I expected…he thinks he’s smarter than anyone else. And I don’t think he sees hoarding as a psychological, mental health issue. So until he does, it will never end. Please someone…get his wife out of there.
