I went to another store and was able to find the yarn mark downs I missed at my first stop! Usually Hobby Lobby does their big clearance sale of yarn at 75% in June, but I guess this year they pushed it up. I am so glad I was able to score some deals. Which one is your favorite? Love your haul! I am about to go to our wonderful public library for our monthly crochet/knit classes. I mainly go to stitch with other people, and pick the brains of ladies who know how to crochet and knit better than I do. It is just so fun to meet people who are interested in needle arts. I got there just as my shop goddess finished the embroidery isle. Our hand dies are at the end of the embroidery isle. I got 2 chunky wool in irish mist 4 fingering weight in beige and greens. I also hit the embroidery isle and scooped up fabric, pierced paper, a couple of kits and a bunch or etoile threads, a Llama measuring tape, a little purse, a cute cup with bees on it and some chunky knitting needles. Next day in the morning, she was in the actual yarn isles. I got 2 cotton wheels in sort of mixed pastels (never tried one before). I went back later in the day and she just finished the cotton et lin so I got 4 each of three colors ecru, beige and a sort of dusty rose. Then hung about while she did the Chloe I got 2 of the same purple/blue one you just showed and 2 in a sort of muted rainbow. Tonight I picked up a couple of plum colored kroi sock yarns. I think I'm done. I do have one more store I could visit. I would like 2 more of the fingering weight merino to make 6, maybe for a cardigan. I am going to be on a no spend for a while after this lol.

I was the crazy women waiting for the hand dyed yarn to be marked down. 🤪but was definitely worth it. Chloe was unfortunately not there anymore 😢

Never heard of yarn bee yarn, not sure it's available in UK but loved that pastel rainbow one and the lovely autumnal shades of yarn you got for the blanket x

Yarn Bee is a house brand at hobby lobby so you won't find it in the UK unfortunately

I don’t buy store-bought yarn anymore. At my age I don’t have enough time to use it all up plus spin out my own roving into yarn usually two ply and then make something with all that after I dye it.

Last year, in my area the hanks were the last to go and the baby yarns were the first to go. I really hope I can get some deals this year! I love the Chloe. Befor I was on YT, I made a shawl out of it in a light purple color. But I also have a bag on my channel that I made out of it by pairing it with cotton. I really loved it! Congrats on the yarn bargains 😊

You should make the new Premier Week Tank Top from Cinnamon Stitches with that cotton. That would look amazing!!! I am going to try and go to one tomorrow. I am hoping for the Clover hooks and Sugarwheels.

Forest army green I love it. Lyocell is an interesting fiber. It’s a cotton it silk alternative and it breathes very well. So should work out great for summer stuff. It’s mostly wood fiber. I don’t know who asked for that information but hè Austin lol. $500 dollar savings is amazing. I’m really happy for you. I would have bought up all of the Alpaca.

Do you think you’ll focus mostly on hats in your Etsy shop, or will you do tops and sweaters too?

If I developed a channel called Woodshed Philosophy where I tackle ethical and political theory in a practical and personal way way, that embodies the practical knowledge of the woodshed or shop class (maybe later we will tackle metaphysics, epistemology, metaethics, aesthetics, ontology, value theory, formal logic, rhetoric etc.), would I get a nasty cease and desist letter from the owner of this channel (yourself)? If so, I will find something else to call it. I would call it Woodshed Theory, but that name is taken. Woodshed Philosophy will have to do, if I don't get a cease and desist, or a law suit for using this name.
