I like my sprocket but the colors can come out funky at time...I feel like I always have to lighten the photos. These kind of devices are great with memory keeping!

Aren't you concerned that the home-printed photos will fade in some years and you'll end up with nothing? I am very concerned about my memory keeping resisting time, and I'm not sure how different in terms of wuality it is to print at home vs. at a photo studio... Could you help with that? Thanks a lot!

It is a great question Alexandra. And I have worried about this too. Here is how I think about it; the long term preservation of my photos is in digital space (saved on the cloud and organized by year with tags, short descriptions, etc.). Since I know the photos are safe from destruction there, I am ok with using printed photos for creative purposes in my journaling. I do hope that these pages and photos will be enjoyed long into the future but I am not worried about my memory keeping being the sole storage since I know they are safe in the cloud as well.

@@PlanningAnnie Thank you so much for your answer, it helps a lot!!! How do you store your pictures on the computer? I used to use Picasa for tagging and organizing my pictures, but since it doesn't exist anymore, I don't know what to use that is equivalent...

I actually use a backup and a backup to the backup (#typeA) 🤣 Shutterfly/Tinyprints is the primary backup. Then an external hard drive is the backup to the backup. Shutterfly is great for adding tags and short descriptions. External hard drive is the safest spot to save the photos only, organized by year.

I have an older ZINK tech photo from 10+ years ago and it still looks perfect. But I keep it away from the sun, and in a frame behind glass (though I doubt the glass is UV filtered).
