I actually prefer watching someone stay in one planner over a period of time! There’s something comforting and reassuring about it. Enjoyed seeing that you’re sticking with this weeks!

Also, it's fun to watch setup videos but it's also nice to be reminded that people stick to the same thing through a period of time.

I'm still in my Common Planner, even if I miss logging some weeks. It's comfortable. Adding pencil to my planning (so I can write what's coming up in my vertical weekly spread, then using pen to write what actually happened) was a huge game changer. I have introduced some page clips so that hopefully I utilize the quarterly and monthly spreads more regularly

I’ve tried to keep myself in an 1/2 year A6 Stalogy for the second quarter of the year, and sticking with it made me learn a lot! I’ve almost filled it up, so it won’t last all quarter. THATS okay, I’m wanting to try rings in June! I’ve never done rings before, so I’m excited.

Hi Sam, great video! I did enjoy your plan with me. It as been a while. I did like that you switched up your washi tape. I am glad you are finding a way to continue to use your Weeks and be settled in a way with it. You seem very relaxed, and at peace when you talked in this video. Have fun with it! 💙

I just discovered the Weeks (and the Cousin) too, and spent a ton of time on YT watching how people plan in them, like you! I found a ton of helpful information and then some planners that were so aesthetic that I couldn't hack it. I just found Hobonichi and bought the Cousin, but it was a lot of real estate to fill up on a daily basis, especially with my very slow life. (I'm 50 and retired, so I don't need to work and I don't have a young family. I'm divorced and my adult daughter lives with me. Not a lot of activity in my life.). So I bought the Weeks and am looking forward to using it. I hope yours and mine and Sam's all goes well. Cheers to the Weeks!

I've been using the hobonichi weeks as my edc since 2018. In 2015, I started with happy planner but wanted something a little smaller. I use fountain pens to plan and journal, and the hobonichi paper is perfect. I use the day free to journal in. Love your hobo weeks videos❤😊

I'm still using the same planners & journals. It's funny bc I was just telling someone else, I've sometimes been tempted to change but I've got that OCD I have to complete start to finish & have been satisfied w/what I'm using. Although when I had a vertical that was hard. Verticals not for me so far.

I’ve been in personal rings all year so far and I’m thinking is it working and I think I’m actually ok with it. It’s the conflict between personal and public. I can see that next year I’ll want something different but that’s ok. That’s what I’ve learned I need that public reference that others can see and I need the private that’s just for me

This was a nice video to watch, although it didn't surprise me that you went from the square rings to the Weeks. As you said yourself, you "flip flop." That used to be my (ex) husband's favorite description for me, I "flip flop." And I just learned to embrace it! That's how I am and I don't make any apologies for it to anyone. If you don't like it there are millions of other people you can check out! I've come to expect you to "flip-flop." I think that's your norm, your slice of "planner peace." And that's okay! I, too, am using a Weeks, my first one that I've had for only a few days. It's a lavender Weeks Mega, and it's beautiful and it matches my purple Galen Leather wallet/Week's cover that I bought specifically for this lavender planner. It's lovely and I love it with the glittery stars clear cover. Perfect. I wish I could send you a pic! But I am going to try to make this Weeks my only planner for the rest of the year. Let's see how we do. I love how small it is but how much information you can get in it. I just had to buy a pen with a smaller line. It's a Pigma Micron 01 .25mm in black. Love it. It's perfect for the Weeks. Anyway, love to see your videos. I'm a new subscriber! Keep 'em coming! Let us know how June goes.

Thanks for subscribing, and taking the time to say hi! I definitely have two standard faves, the Weeks and rings, and while I feel a little more functional in rings, I am not excited to keep the pages or flip through the used pages like I am the Weeks. It’s much easier to just keep using the Weeks and not have to back fill. 😂

Hey Sam. I'm curious why the olive weeks didn't work for you when it's the same layout in any hobo weeks?
@samplans
@samplans 28 күн бұрын
Hi there! It was just a little bit smaller, which kept it from fitting in the clear cover well, and I felt it was more stiff, not staying open easily like the other Weeks I’ve had. They may seem like small changes, but when you’ve used a planner for years and are used to how it feels, it can make a difference. It bothered me enough that moving to the tie fabric is much better for me.
@thestationeryjunkie

@@samplans oh i didn't know the leather ones are smaller. Do you mean the layout is smaller on the inside, or is it the external size? I can understand why it won't lay flat because of the cover. Good to know. I am steering far away from leather weeks. I also like my books to lay flat when I leave it open. Thanks, Sam! ❤️
