While moving around Jujumura block, I came across a rural hockey tournament at Rantal village. Tribal people inhabit Rantal and the hockey players from different surrounding villages that participated the tournament are also from tribal stock. Hockey is a passion for the tribal youth. The champion and runner up of the tournament get bigger and smaller goats as trophies. Such tribal youth later make their way to Odisha and national teams. I tried to capture the mood and ambience of rural hockey.
