My son, Nathen Solly plays Lt John L Hoerr. It was his first significant acting role shortly after graduation from University. He attended the London premiere on Monday. So excited for him. 😁

OMG! Jenna. "My grandfather was a naval aviator". He lived this movie to a certain extent. On one of his missions he was shot down and crashed in the Pacific ocean. He very lucky to be rescued by a submarine. You're lucky to even be here.

I love WWII history. I got to go see Normandy and some of the real places when I was stationed in GE. And knowing those guys were the forefathers as far as the Army Air Corps and now the US Air Force and the Tuskegee Airmen……….forget about it ❤

Note! A-2 jackets are called flight jackets, as fighter pilots and aircrew on several different types of aircraft all wore them. The term "bombers jackets" was coined by civilian clothiers selling "non military" clothing during and after the war.

I like Austin Butler, but his acting is monotone in Masters of the Air. My husband said he’s very wooden and are we watching some lost Elvis movie or a WWII drama? Callum Turner reminds me of a young Richard Gere, only he’s better actor than Gere.

If you could read Masters of the Air by Donald Miller, you will see that Austin played Cleven spot on. The relationship between Buck and Bucky was delightful to watch‼️ Buck was a more serious actor where Buky was definitely more the silly one.

I didn't think he was wooden. He was stoic, which is a common trait among those men who grew up during the Depression and fought WWII.
