Eric Bibb is the greatest: a force for good, that takes you to a better place, full of hope, understanding and love. His voice is like a balm, a soothing force that enters the soul. There is an aura to this man. We saw him by chance in France at a concert 12 years and since then have been to every concert he has given in our native Scotland. Eric, you saved me from a ark place I was once in. I love you.

Seen many great gigs over the years but none better and more heartwarming than this man at a little place called the Flowerpot in Derby England. I'd never really heard of him before but can't hear enough since. The Good Stuff!

My Mom, now 91 years young, a former Salvationist with her failing hearing, still thoroughly enjoys listening to Gospel, as do I. Thank You for posting this uplifting song of steadfast faith! Mom was 96 when she was promoted to Glory 29 May 2017, with her family bedside. There was a hint of a smile on her face, when her machines were turned off. I just wanted to say that Jesus was probably the most anti-religious guy on the planet. Check out the gospels for what he said and did regarding the religious folks of his time. Take care, man. Hope you're doing well.

I think the song expresses a powerful human feeling/experience which we can all recognise. That it is expressed though the language of Christianity is secondary. It is a historically specific song of enslaved Africans in the US.

MrDubisteinspast even Richard Dawkins says theres not enough proof either way to call himself an athiest. We live in a world we are beginning to understand is infinitely more complex than the laws Newton identified can explain. Theres no single civilization that doesnt have a spiritual tradition. Theres probably something in that. Just because you dont believe in God doesnt mean he doesn't believe in you.
