At 51 years old I feel a little dumb by being so worked up about The Wizarding World of Harry Potter. I read these books to my boys and got hooked after about the tenth page. I even have Harry weekends where I snuggle up and watch all the movies in order. I can't wait till the new books come out about Hogwarts before Harry!

Actually I spend $4000 at Citywalk and was told by the manager I could bring in a shopping cart to get it back to my car. The employee at the security booth refused to call this supervisor to verify the info. I have been to more parks and spent more money at them then you and every friend you have combined.

im wondering how they are going to "connect the parks" they gonna have tickets booths or something?? seems very complicated, you may just NEED to buy a park hopper (as i know it) ticket :/

Errrrm it's 'okay' but definitely not the experience described here. I laughed when the chocolate frog jumped against the carriage window - that was funny. It's basically a moving escalator to get you to the other park. It goes a very short distance and whatever Universal's (are they imagineers at Universal, maybe not) designers say, it's far far from a full-on Harry Potter experience. Yep it keeps muggle blood from your veins because of the sheer audacity and authenticity of the London/Diagon Alley area. They built a (somewhat smaller scale but frighteningly accurate, with fewer door arches) superb King's Cross replica and the Islington buildings are perfectly rebuilt. Playing fair, I say that part is smack on. The tannoys and timetable boards at 'King's Cross' are deliciously accurate too, piping out a surprisingly accurate East Coast rail route [notably Doncaster, where I'm from], but in no way did I walk away from this ride thinking 'WOW - I'm off to Hogwarts'. It's a simple funicular railway. A big train set on a loop. I'm not criticising this part. The effects on the frosted carriage doors, with projections of the dinnerlady and 'anything off the trolley dears' - they're good too. But the view from the windows right beside you are almost like 3D but you should have been given glasses. Nice fleeting shots of Hargrid and co. but my goodness, the picture quality is like someone popped a VHS tape in in 1987 and left it running on a loop.

i only have one question about this whole Hogwarts express thing. How will we walk through 9 and 3 quarters? a hologram?. other than that everything is great

The Disneyland Railroad has two authentic steam locomotives that were built at the Disney studios by their own mechanics. They are the real deal, unlike these which I presume will be a motorized replica. Do your research.

Universal Orlando Resort I'd rather ride on The Hogwarts Express (GWR 4900 Class 5972 Olton Hall) better than The Knight Bus (AEC Regent III RT) in my opinion.

I seriously will not get off the train. They will literally have to call security and have them get on and pry my kicking and screaming body from my seat.

Do yourself a favor and visit Disney World instead of this travesty of guest services. I was harassed and yelled at by a security officer at the entrance to Citywalk. When I requested the manager of security I was denied. I then told the security member I was going to guest services to complain and to keep me from doing so I was denied entry to guest services. Universal has the worst guest services I have ever come across at any theme park in the country.
