Man, I love that game, but the writing is really where they dropped the ball. So polite and gutless, it's nauseating. This was refreshing. Thanks!

The writting is pretty terrible, but formality was a much bigger thing back in the 1800s.

Seriously, the main character couldn't have been any more bland and the supporting cast was barely any better. The quality of the dialogue, both in terms of writing and delivery, came across as something you'd hear in a children's game rather than anything Rated T and up. Definitely need a better writing team and VA Director in any potential sequel because this team missed the mark bigtime.

@Bartleby 02 it's a game for adults AND kids! Why would they put swear words? It might be repetitively polite, but I'm glad they did that so my kids can play it.

@@ThanksForAllMyToes You can't be serious. Do you associate curse words with good writing? Besides, no one even mentioned them. We talked about dull delivery and atrocious, bland, sickening polite writing that holds this game back. Luckily, Hogwarts Legacy shines in other areas, but if I were to judge it based on writing alone I'd say no one should play this uninspired pile of shite - neither kids nor adults.

I really liked the game too but I wish that there was at least some more variations in dialogue depending on what house you were in. Everyone was buddy buddy with everyone else too...what happened to house rivalries and such? It doesn't even have to be like a Potter/Malfoy type of rivalry...just something.

I think it is. There are two voice actors in the game who did a CRAP-TON of character voices between them, including some that sound nothing alike. Pretty talented!
