I would have loved to see more difference in the way he acted than he did in the game. Despite being blind he could kinda walk around, and read, and react to things in the way a seeing person can and the lazy excuse can’t be that it was down to magic...

Same honestly, I loved the idea of a blind student at Hogwarts, but as you've mentioned with him being able to read and do things people with sight can do, it's kind of ruined. Probably too difficult to add it inside the game.

It looks like he may be using his hand for braille, but I can’t explain the watch😂 I think they’re just generic npc movements and they forgot to exclude him

Earliest you can get to this class is during winter, Christmas to be more specific, after completing Niamh Fitzgerald's trial. So it's very late in the game. On the map, it should appear as a side quest in the Bell Tower Wing section of Hogwarts.
