We're finally back! Its been a long road to get here. We've been busy MOVING HEADQUARTERS, acting in plays, writing music, making movies, and traveling the world, (okay, Sleepy Hannah is the only one traveling) but we are FINALLY back in the studio/living room!

@@verinonrenthar9176 Well, it was towards the end of season 3, when the freighter was there to "rescue" everybody. We know during that time Christmas happened, when they were on the island for close to 100 days. Either way, Pisces wouldn't be possible if his birthday was any time during that part of the show (before the time travel).

One of the questions I have.... So it's 30 years until season one of Lost.... in 30 years well travelled gravel roads may be grown over, but it would still be apparent that there was vehicular roads all over the place. So why is it that no trace of them, at all, are there?

Wonder if they'll figure out the identity of the MIB after the ending, I pretty much got it for the single reason that you usually don't meet such a big character to the show if you haven't already met him at some point before. And this was back when it was first airing, and I was 15 or so. Also note how Lapidus says "Terrific." when he sees what's inside the coffin, and Charlie says the same thing in the pilot when they hear/see the smoke monster moving through the jungle at night.

I just realise kate, james sun and jin in some way broke the promises that they make when jacob met them. Kate steals again, sawyer finished the letter and sun and jin both taken each other for granted

Kate doesn't steal again. She murders and runs. And Sawyer didn't make that promise to Jacob, he made it to his uncle, or whoever that was. Jacob already knew he was going to do that. That's why he gave him a pen.

If you watch this episode, listen to Brian's perfect recital of the cold open during the discussion at the end, and still don't understand why Locke is doing what he's doing, you're just not paying attention at all. Perhaps Gilligan's Island would be a better show for you. 🙂

@@kuhpunkt It fits better if it is. Taweret was always depicted with a feminine torso which is lacking in this depiction, and wasn't always depicted with human feet. Sobek is also a fertility god and covers a number of other island-thematic elements not covered by Taweret. Even Jeremy thought the face looked like an alligator. It doesn't look like a hippo.

Honestly, I still think Marvin Candle and Kelvin were referring to the 1985 incident instead of the 1977 incident. The blast door map specifically says that there was an incident in 1985. Candle says that the electromagnetism experiments had already begun when the incident happened (but the station hadn't been built yet at the time of the 1977 incident). Candle also said, in the uncut version of the orientation video, that using the computer for anything other than inputting the Numbers could lead to another incident, implying that the incident he's talking about had to do with the misuse of DHARMA's computers. And in the Lost video game the creators introduced us to "the incident room" which was a hidden room in the Swan that was sealed off by concrete when the incident happened, and it looks like a place where electromagnetic experiments would actually be conducted (and the Lost writers have said that this room is intended to be at least semi-canon). But of course that's not to diminish the importance of the 1977 incident since it clearly brought an end to the truce, caused at least some of the concrete pouring that Sayid found in Season 2, most likely caused the island's pregnancy problems, and possibly caused Eloise to begin to see the future.

I mean...true. The time travel really isn't that confusing. And the whole Jacob/MIB thing really isn't either. Even when I first saw this scene, I knew that Jacob must have brought everyone to the Island in its history. You can tell this when the MIB says the quote about them always coming and fighting.

Hogwarts & I are on the same page. Ever time that guy speaks, it's like, "Someone kill him please!" lol Jacob is definitely a stalking creepo! Of course Ben is a Pisces! My ex was & I never liked Ben to begin with lmao Okay so Jacob is definitely a higher being, I agree with Jeremy. People come to the island, however way, by boat, by plane and they die. The island is their purgatory, there! I solved it! Did I solve it??

@@danielgray2661 And if they meant that the island is just a metaphorical purgatory, that doesn't line up with what purgatory is because purgatory is supposed to be a place where you go to be punished for your sins before you can move on into heaven. The island gives people the opportunity to let go of their pasts, but it doesn't actively punish them for their sins, nor does it try to better its inhabitants to allow them to move on to heaven (or insist on its inhabitants becoming better people before they can return to mainland if you want to take the metaphor in that direction).

No, the Island is not purgatory. It is a real island. You will see what it is during season 6 when it finally reveals the last details you need.

Wow. You spoiled the twist for them. By reminding them of the Jacob/MiB conversation you let them know that John is MiB. That's why I hate fanboys of things, they want to talk more than they should so they feel superior and that ends up ruining the experience for others. It was the same with GoT. Everybody kept telling me, "wait for the red wedding, wait for the red wedding you're gonna cry so much" so when it finally happened I was like "oh, that's what they were talking about" and the scene affected me way less if my friends hadn't hyped it up so much.

Mmm not necessarily. And I've seen people predict that twist once they saw that opening scene. It's really up to how much you pay attention. You can't blame Brian for information the show already gave them.

This episode should have been called, Beginning of the End. LOL I never liked the introduction of Jacob and MIB as "corporeal" characters. The original characters are why I watch, not dumb ass Jacob, MIB, and Richard. 😞 Also, once again, Jeremy is the breakout star of this channel. 👍

@@x-man9473 spoiler alert: Of course I know that the MIB was the smoke monster and Undead Christian and Wet Walt then Fake Locke, but he didn't start walking around in his own body until this. That's what corporeal means - he became an actual "guy" with a human body...that is what I didn't like. 😝 MIB and Jacob should have just stayed eternal spirits, not mortal men with a little "magic" power. That's my gripe.

@@landosmist4999 I guess. I actually loved the MIB storyline. Not Jacob though. My problem is that there wasn't enough flashbacks of them. Jacob was introduced TOO damn late. And he was killed very quickly. I needed more rationalization of what he was thinking. He just comes off as a douche. MIB, on the other hand, is a sympathetic villain like many other Lost characters-Ben, Sawyer, Locke, etc.

They had already used "The Beginning of the End" for the Season 4 premiere. At least "The Incident" is less cryptic than the codename for the finale: "The Fork in the Outlet". I always enjoyed the finale codenames for this show... S1: The Bagel, S2: The Challah, S3: The Rattlesnake in the Mailbox, S4: The Frozen Donkey Wheel, S5: The Fork in the Outlet. I don't think S6 was ever anything other than "The End" though.
