denmark is still part of scandinavia, the scandinavian peninsula and scandinavia overlap a lot but they're still kinda different

denmark is still scandinavian even if it’s not on the scandinavian peninsula. scandinavia is defined as a larger region than just the oeninsula.

it is because of tradition, they used to be part of scandinavian peninsula, but we kicked them out. hence the tradition. likewise, northern parts of Finland is part of the Peninsula but not part of Scandinavia :) Alltho around the world FInland used to be grouped together into Scandinavia, but they are just a Nordic country, linked by tradition because of Swedish rule in the past.
