Reminds me when I did nordic empire and joined the axis. Then the war ended and my "allies" took like half of my new core provinces...

a cool idea, but id recommend maybe adding karelia, shetland islands, leningrad and schleswig holstein to the united nordic country

I don't really know, but I have seen that Japan sometimes declare war against Germany and vice versa.

The nordic countries, even combined, are too weak for such a feat, were they buffed or what? How many factories and troops did they have?

The Germans also beating the Soviet army into dust also probably helped them a lot

Since we see that they're fascist and fully formed before 1936 they likely militarized on their own a lot earlier and encouraged a higher birthrate. Also the Finns especially are a strong people, they held well agaisnt the communist

Sometimes they do find a way. I have seen many times when playing that the AI somehow can invade even if they don't have naval supremacy.
