I'm a Miami fan, but I will NEVER forget this. Matter of fact, VT's Enter Sandman entrance is something I need to witness before I die. So much intensity.

This is what really made me decide to go to Tech. Seriously, the atmosphere is amazing. Go Hokies!

they should keep the music on while they enter the field, it would really turn the atmosphere up a notch

i gotta say, as a member of the corps, nothing gets me more fired up than when enter sandman plays and we jump along with the whole stadium. and that place is fucking rocking

So awesome. I wish they would play a little more of the song as they run out. Maybe cutting it off just before the singing starts.

been a long time since you posted but we remember. if you have not been to a game at Lane, add it to your bucket list, the folks in Charlottesville hate us because they have to replace their windows after every home game. its THAT loud. Charlottesville is 100 miles away...

@Losingstreakk Not interested in argument and don't care if Beaver stadium is louder than Lane stadium. However architecture of Lane stadium does allow sound to be amplified. I don't know how but south end zone amplifies the sound. It is a fact that Lane is extremely loud, possibly about as loud as Beaver stadium. Number doesn't mean too much. Autzen stadium is even smaller than Lane stadium but louder than Beaver stadium.
@coulie2717 жыл бұрын
Double the attendance and you get +3 decibels. It only takes a little more yelling from less people... VT gives that. Lane can be and is loudest. It's science.
@ballb18 жыл бұрын
I don't remember seeing ESPN doing any clips of UVA's entrances. ESPN must have just realized how lame Wahoos are and decided that there is no need to show people sitting down in their cocktail dresses and Armani suits. And last time I was at Scott Stadium I don't remember anyone there wearing blue and orange after halftime...you can't say Scott Stadium is loud when it's your rivals' fans making all the noise.

I understand what you're saying. I am not a miami fan in fact I go to UNC (don't laugh we are coming up) but seriously I don't know who has the advantage, the canes and their 5 national titles or the hokies and their recent success, even though you guys have never beat a Bobby Bowden coached FSU team. One thing is for sure, both are elite programs. I can't wait until UNC beats you guys on Sept 9... good luck this season

I'm not 100% sure, but I believe Tech started playing Enter Sandman when we got our new scoreboard and videoscreen in 2001. I don't think the jumping started until the end of the 2002 season, but again I'm not 100% sure.

@Losingstreakk i never said ive been to beaver stadium buddy, so calm down. i think both stadiums are pretty loud (but your right, i guess my opinion doesnt matter because i have never been to Beaver stadium). im not being biased, all im saying is that for Lane Stadiums capacity, its one loud stadium! with beaver stadium, its expected because its well, a huge ass stadium. but capacity wise, you would think Beaver stadium would be twice as loud, which i doubt it is.

Miami has had some great teams, but there fans suck. They should rename the Orange Bowl, LAME stadium. It only rocks for FSU & is almost that loud for the VT game. Other than that the place is always nearly half empty & quiet as a little lamb. Plus your fans will sell your team out if they lose a couple of games. I'm amazed you're able to keep your players.
@BSxxxBS15 жыл бұрын
OUCH! FSU is eating Hokiebird for Thanksgiving!
@Losingstreakk13 жыл бұрын
@ClubBlendi dude, your statements are ridiculously biased. you've never been to beaver, so you cant judge how loud it is compared to lane. the architecture of lane doesnt allow sound to rebound the way it does at penn state. ive never been to lane stadium either, but it would literally be impossible to be as loud as beaver stadium, even with only half the capacity.

BTW, doubling the number of people only raises decibles by 3. All it takes is that extra noise from every person, and the steep, steep stands of Lanes Stadium, and you can have the loudest place in the country. Educate yourself a little before posting.
