Wakkanai is the northernmost central city of Japan.
It's also a place where you can go to the beautiful Rishiri, the island of Levun.
From the nearby Cape Soya and Sarovets Garden, you can feel the various shapes of nature.
The landscapes also feel like geometric compositional paintings.
It is a long five-hour drive from Sapporo, but the coastal road is beautiful all the way there.
You can arrive within an hour by plane, and there are many places to travel after arriving.
Of course, specialties such as scallops, octopus, and Wagyu are also excellent.
I think it's a place where you can stay for a week if you come once.
Feel the northernmost part of my favorite.
