I was 12 and at the Oregon branch library in the suburbs of Toledo and my mom picked me up and she was the one who told me about O.J...can't believe it been 30 years. Time absolutely flies.

I was a 2Lt in the Air Force stationed at Laughlin AFB, TX watching it with my wife on TV in our living room. It was mind blowing because OJ was everywhere….commercials, movies and covering football games for NBC. He was so loved by so many people which made it unbelievable to see on TV.

I was at an evening opening of a friend's furniture store in Houston at the time. There was a TV on showing the game. The store owner became livid, stomping around and shouting "What is happening to this country!" Honestly, I was relieved not to have to see John Starks burn the Rockets with 3's for one night.

I was in elementary school and watched it with my parents in their bedroom. My mom had started watching it in there, and i guess couldnt walk away from it. I think we ate frozen pizza that night. 😂

I was quite young when the OJ Simpson chase happened. The closest thing I can think of where I understood that the situation with a celebrity was very off was the announcement of the Benoit tragedy where the Raw episode was completely binned and then the ramifications of it 24 hours later were practically every news network was covering it and WWE had to say that they will never mentioned him again. It was surreal, as Benoit was massively respected and was still working and outside of very close friends to the family, no one had any idea of what was occurring and even they for the most part didn’t think it would get to this point

Still mad at NBC for having split screen NBA finals. The chase was on 30 other stations! NBC was a joke that night. The chase ruined my David Hasselhoff PPV party too! lol

I was stationed at Fort Benning, GA. I was CQ and I remember my battalion Staff Duty NCO yelling and screaming because he was from Houston and wanted to see the Dream bring their first championship to Houston.

Run OJ Run! I was in my freshman year of college in Pocatello Idaho. We had a pool table in the living room. One television in the dining room. shooting a game and my brother was watching the Finals. He bursts in and said you all need to com watch this because OJ is on the run! When we realized it was a low speed chase we played pool and watched a bit until je got close to Brentwood.

I was in a band, we had a shed wed practice in. We practiced 4 or 5 hours a night. People would stop by for like 15 minutes, then take off. Someone stops in and mentioned OJ is in a police chase, it's been going on all night. Non of us had a clue. We call it a wrap, go in the house, get a beer, turn on tv and they're in I think OJ mom driveway. I remember saying he's going to kill himself on live tv. I honestly didn't think he had done it until that night.

So much happened that day in sports. But it’s also way more important of an event in history. It started the 24/7 news cycle. It kick started the OJ trial which changed tv reporting and news forever. It is studied.
