Responded on the forum, but let me drop one here, for the sake of KZfaq algorithm:) For the artillery (around minute 29), you are right. Certain batteries can be used in both on- and off- map roles. If you click on the spotter, the UI will highlight the batteries linked to that spotter, and for the off-map use, the batteries have to be in the reserve. @37:00: these units will become available when their HQ arrives @1:07:28: the lack of AT shell is a “tell”, similar to how your infantry won’t have AT grenades, and it means the enemy has no armor
@arkadiy93212 ай бұрын
In this case though, there is no armor, but there are still a few AT rounds, which is a nice “misdirection” :) Perhaps, there would be more in case enemy armor were to be present.

Many, many thanks for bringing this sim back. I've just started getting into it again after several years break and trying to get my head around the updates... One request.. Please, please include at least one episode where you don't skip the deployment phase. I for one would love you watch that, rather than always skipping straight to the battle. Really going to enjoy this, along with your SH3 campaign. 😃

If I'm not wrong the Panzergranate Rot is the HEAT round on the Stug, but I guess the game just counts them as AP. Rot designation can be a bit messy though, so I'm not 100% sure.

1:07:00 Well, in GTMF, 7.5cm K Rot Gr Pz is arguably very effective against anything less than 70mm thick, including T-34 and Sherman. I guess GTMF has some simulation for high T/D ratio penetration effects? Anyway, it's more effective than 7.5cm Gr38 HL/B HEAT shells in game. In GTMF, it can reliably do damage when hitting T-34 and Sherman's frontal hull, as 10.5cm PzGr can reliably do damge to KV-1.

@29:40 - the answer to your question is yes, the spotter has no guns under his direct call/control because you have them attached. when/if you remove them from the company they 're attached to they will "link" and establish as off map HQ assets again... edit: the weird/broken arty sound @57:00 is caused by Ruki sound mod after the newest updates to GTMF, in my experience re-installing/ re-enabling "should" fix it.

I am aware of game changes, but have not played with them. You have a very nice style doing these ... I don't know what I would call it, "docudrama let's play". You said you put it down, because you did not to play on maps people are currently dying sadly, I guess since you started NATO has invaded Russia in this region. Why can we just not play wargames? There is nothing in this war for us ordinary pawns. We don't matter. (I play war games for the intellectual challenge like chess; not to watch tank crews running around on fire.) I pray your land will find peace and not war.
