Honestly I don’t even think Eazy E was that bad. He just didn’t know the business like that. It was moreso Jerry being a crook and E didn’t know until that NOI meeting.

@@marcuslane3 It''s all lies I've heard numerous interviews with people who worked at Ruthless and they all said the same thing, Jerry always took care of the crew & i bet even Rhythm will say the same. As far as i get it Cube and Jerry just had a bad blood and beside him and Dre were being influenced by people from outside. I am not saying they were offered what they deserved but if everybody stayed focused Ruthless would have gone very far.

Snoop Dogg was coming regardless. Before he got introduced to Dre, he was in que w/Above The Law & they actually had a record for him ironically the same week Warren G played 213's mixtape @ Dre's house party. Dre heard it & had Warren reach out to Snoop to meet. Long story short, Snoop was going to be on Ruthless via Above The Law

It's crazy how these dudes do right by some, but not by others. Eazy wasn't right with how he did NWA, but I still think he was a good dude. Of course he would get the lions share but you had to take care of Dre better than that and not just rely on the, "it's business, you signed the contract" mantra. Ruthless coulda been bigger thanv Death Row was had they kept Dre..... Everybody that was a factor on Death Row would have still been there and they could have gotten Pac as well. Even without Pac they would have had Dre.... The 🐐

“I treat my artists real good, I give them fair deals. I start them off at 12 points, with escelation at every 500,000. In the publishing a 50-50 split. Most people take 100% of the artists’ publishing. I know a lot of people who have sold 4 million records and ain’t even seen a million dollars. That ain’t no record deal. Now, I’m not trying to give out any big advances because that’s recoupable, that’s your own money. If you take a big advance you’ll have to pay that back if you don’t sell enough units.” ~Eazy E; January 1995 Interview with Phyllis Pollack “When we had a meeting and somebody (Ice Cube) sat down and said, I never got this, I never got that. They said all this in front of lawyers. You know what I did? I pulled out all the ******* returned checks that this person signed and said here’s where all that **** came from. They said, Oh, I didn’t know I was getting all that. There’s that $75,000 I told you about in the beginning, why aren’t they suing me?” (Taken from an unknown magazine article on the Tumgir fansite) “I was too nice to everybody, I overpaid everybody. I gave people money that they weren’t even owed. I made them happy. I might say okay Dre, here goes $75,000.” He’d say “For what?” and I’d say “Just for being here, cause you're down and you're my buddy.” “I moved him from Compton and bought a house in Westlake Village. When I moved Dre moved. Dre got a house around the corner from me. I got him a house and we worked everything out” ~Eazy E Heller, in his memoir Ruthless, recalled that he tried to sweeten the deal for Dre by attempting to create a sublabel for him through Warner that, he said, would have paid Dre a $2 million advance. The narrative that Dre wasn’t taken care of or that Eazy and Jerry were crooks is simply false. People should do their research and stop repeating unfounded myths.

@@AnonymousC-lm6tc good info. I never saw that before. I know Snoop had his gripes against Death Row, but he had houses, apartments and got off on a not cheap murder trial. I would say he got his fair shake. If Eazy really took care of these dudes like that I guess the real motivation was to be their own boss and get it all

@@AnonymousC-lm6tcpeople refuse to look at this and choose to pinpoint eazy as the crook the greedy and selfish one when really it was Dre🤦🏾‍♀️ the problem is eazy was just being to nice at giving people what they wanted instead of what they needed to make folks happy like rhythm d said. they were just never satisfied when it came to e helping them out when he didn’t need to but did it because that was the type of person eazy was and Dre took advantage of that😔
