HOLIDAY EVENTS IN WASHINGTON D.C. || Christmas in Washington DC

8 ай бұрынIn today’s video, we’re exploring several holiday events in Washington DC! We start with the Downtown DC Holiday Market, then stop to see the National Christmas Tree on night one. On night two, we head to Georgetown for their Georgetown Glow event which is a series of lighted art installations around Georgetown. Both were very different and so fun! Oh man you are back! Love DC. You sure traveling more this year. I bet you warmed up with all that walking. That’s a good buy. Conferences are pretty draining for sure. Glad you made it to Georgetown. Such a pretty area. That ice rink was huge. Georgetown Cupcakes is the best. Did you go to the Exorcist Stairs?

We could only explore at night and I was too scared to visit the Exorcist stairs at night. Lol 😆 I’ll have to see those next time-hopefully during the day!! We had a great time, but it sure was exhausting-more mentally than physically! Thankful for all the traveling we did this year! It’s been fun, and can’t wait for the trips we have planned next year!!

Ah...you could have gotten close to the tree...for some reason they have those weird gates up...so you had to walk along the sides until you found 1 of about 4 openings.

We walked around the whole way and all the openings were closed with “do not enter” signs and lots of extra security… we found out later it was the night of the Christmas party at the White House so they closed it all off.

I went back and forth about calling you-it was just last week! Lol 😆 But I thought I was going to be with my Missouri people the whole time.. if I’d have known they were going to be tired after night one I would’ve called you!

@@ShowMeAnAdventure LAST WEEK!!! We were in DC because Jay's mom came down...we hit up some of the holiday expos as well and went to the national tree and all that great stuff (that's how I know about the gates because I was like they closed it off we can't get to it...and then I found a little hidden baby opening...lol and we saw those same helicopters and was saying the same thing...we bet'not had been out there the same nights - rofl

@@FunandBudget OH my lord…. I bet we were out the same night. Damn it…. Kicking myself now. I thought, eh, I don’t want to bother her when I’m such a tight schedule… 🤦♀️ I should’ve know to never assume…
