This is my preferred hotel in Singapore. The breakfast buffet is excellent and is included with the rooms. The rooftop pool is nice with great views, especially at night. The rooms are clean and functional and the location is very good. It's just outside the CBD so you don't have to pay those extra fees on taxis or shared rides, and bus and MRT are nearby. Also, just across the river is a good supermarket to pick up essentials and snacks. And along the river are countless dining options.

We’ve stayed here numerous times. It’s well situated for our purposes. Both bus and MRT routes are plentiful and a ten minute walk. It’s convenient to many good hawker stalls in the Chinatown area. Rooms on the side facing the Marina Bay Sands have the best views. Breakfast is quite good and they have some veggies and a selection of fresh fruit, both of which are pricey in Singapore. Yeah, the room is small, but as you said, the bed is comfortable. One note of caution. The building directly across the street, Central Mall, had construction fencing around it when we were there in August. Not sure what the plans are, but if it’s a major tear down and reconstruction, then it might get noisy and dusty.

4 star hotel??? Such tiny rooms. How on earth can two persons and their suitcases fit in such a room? Stay away!
