In this episode I fix a little problem with the PTO side seal and run it at full throttle for the first time!
I checked the RPM using a spectrum analyzer app after editing, it's doing 8800 RPM in the video. So needs about 700 more for this pipe :)

2STROKE STUFFING Thanks! Lacking some rpm though :) A friend told me about the parallels years ago but I never tried it until now, I was surprised how much easier it went!

What kind of 2 cycle oil are you using ? With that running full rich that head, piston and cylinder are very clean. Even with the rich condition there's no black residue from burning oil. Must be real good oil.

Mark Durham Currently I'm using Agrol F1 racing oil, I'm not sure if it's available outside Scandinavia though. I've been using it for 5-6 years and it's been serving me well. Even after a whole season of running there is almost no soot anywhere. I'm switching to Klotz Super Techniplate now though for E85.

I need to redo the ignition install soon because I switched to a new crankcase so I'll keep that in mind, thanks for the suggestion! :)

maxpower700 I was supposed to have my first race last weekend, so I didn't make that unfortunately. I have an ice track on it now but I'm probably going to swap it after the next race and go to the hillclimb in Storuman with it, should be fun!

maxpower700 There was an ice oval race in Gargnäs last Sunday :) A bit bummed that I missed it, but I'm glad I didn't stress and went anyway with an untested engine because that seal would've come out for sure there and I'd have ruined the piston at the very least.

When the engine was stock how much power did the tuned pipe off of a 643 add? Thank you!

I have never run it completely stock ;) I ran stock bore and stroke before but always ported. I estimate in the last iteration with stock bore and stroke it probably had around 50-55 HP with this pipe and a bunch of porting, higher compression etc. Never dynod it but comparing to other sleds.

@@timnewport1357 No problem :) I guess you could try snowmobile junk yards. Or put a wtb ad on Facebook or something. There's got to be plenty of these pipes around.

Where did you find your tuned exhaust pipe?

The pipe is one pipe out of a twin pipe set for a 643, modified a bit here and there. I've ran the same pipe for years and it worked okay with stock bore and stroke but it seems to really perform well now that I have a bit larger volume. It was a very close match to a pipe I calculated so I just modified it a bit to match my calculated pipe.

I was wondering what you meant, haha. My curve is currently at around 5 degrees below 4000 to keep idle down a bit. Then fixed 27 between 4-6000 rpm, and then it slopes down to 17 degrees at 9000. I'm probably going to have to change it around quite a bit for E85. I've never used E85 before (at least not for anything other than cleaning parts) but from what I'm reading it likes lots of timing and lots of compression. Going to be a fun experiment :)

It does not sound super low, how much do you want to get it up, I have not tried E85 before: P I will first try 110 racing gasoline, although it's quite expensive here in Denmark
