Chance, Recently I've been using a Trio Carry. I carry a Belt Knife, a Hatchet and a Saw. I could use my Bokor Plus Aparro as my belt knife as I would any other belt knife. Even though I carry any other knife. I might still neck carry a knife or a good folder. I've used my Vintage Myerchin Pocket Knife with the Marlin Spike which I use to untangle paracord knots. The blade is also made out of 440c. and the lock-up is very strong because the knife is used on moving boats. so the lock-up is strong. But with my Bokor Plus Aparro, I add my Victorninox Delemont Collection Ranger Grip 78 which is a perfect combination for me for what I do in the bush. let alone in a survival situation. I don't think anyone should have to apologize how they could use their Bokor Plus Aparro as a back-up for their bug out kit. I use my Aparro as The Belt Knife. This is the set I carry with the Bokor Plus Aparro, I use it with my 2Hawks Double Bit Hatchet and my Wicked Tough Saw, I also pouch carry my Victorninox Delemont Collection Ranger Grip 78 and I have all the confidence using this Trio. Oh, Ok a Quad Carry instead of a Trio Carry if you include the Victorinox Delemont Collection Ranger Grip 78 which I don't even when I carry a multi tool like my Leatherman Charge TTi. The Aparro is a good Belt Knife, atleast I think so.

I just learned this from David from RealBigMonkey that said you can carry precious water in a hollow handle, so yeah, It's a valuable way to use it in an emergency. Oh, Thanx for letting me know about the Tracker with the Hollow Handle, I never liked the Tracker, but the one you have, I defenetly will look into that one. Yeah, I like a hollow handle, If it's a good Quality. And I know Martin's are.

Say Heah Chance, Yeah I like Hollow Handle Knives, I always wanted a Rambo knife but it didn't please my expectations, so my first was the Buck Buckmaster #184, now that's a knife, then I got a Tomahawk Brand Survival Knife but mine was made in the U.S.A. it was used for Hog Hunting, not as durable as the Buck but strong enough to hunt hogs, them I got the Russian Hollow Handle Survival Knife the NV1-01 (the "B" is a "V" in Russian so it reads as NB1-01) it's made at the Izshmas Plant where they make the AK's, then I got the Aparro it is a awesome knife durable and yes I used it as a one knife carry survival knife, I also have two hollow handle knives that just look nice but I would hesitate using them in the wilderness one is a Frost First Blood and the other one just says General on the cap and looks similar to the Harbor Freight version, Oh yeah I also have the Randall Made #18 even beautifully made and they silver soldered the blade to the handle and that seems to be a very strong connection, even though I would trust some of my Hollow Handle Knives in a Wilderness Survival Situation, I still prefer my go to set of knives I really enjoy using, I had a Swamp Rat Rodent 6 Customized at their Custom Shop I had it thinned down and the top gaurd taken off and now it look's like a beefy Ratmandu on steriods, my saw I have a compact Wicked Tough Saw made by Wicked Tree Gear and my 2Hawks Double Bit Hatchet made by 2Hawks great little hatchet with one side for chopping and the other side for splitting, I also take my Rodent Solution which is a great back-up to my Rodent 6 and my Multi Tool is my Leatherman Charge TTi, I enjoy quality tool's that are time tested because I trust them with my life and I enjoy using them, usually I carry my Rodent 6 on person the other tool's I attach them to my pack, and on my belt I carry the bare necessities like my fire starting and even a space blanket and sometimes my canteen, it seems ice alot but if you properly plan how to carry them it's not bad at all. Comparing my Hollow Handle Knives to my Swamp Rat Knives honestly I like my Swamp Rat's over my Survival knives, simply because when I go into the wilderness I go prepared and any of my Swamp Rat Knives I wouldn't mind having in a serious situation, but your knife look's sweet and I wouldn't mind owing it, but for now I trust what I have, Thanx for the review and sharing your fav survival knife.

I agree completely about the real definition of a survival knife. I carry a few knives with me when I am out, a Ka- bar boot knife, a utility knife, and a switch blade. In my situation, the survival knife is my boot knife. No, it doesn't get used much, but when I need it, it is there. It may not be "Bear Grylss gerber wood chopper 10000", but it is worth its weight in gold when I need it.

I remember my uncle had one that was inredible when I was young. A montagnard had made it for him in VietNam, and it went with him everywhere, and it did a little bit of everything. I bet that thing had some stories to tell, but my uncle never talked about the war with us.

Say Heah Chance, Yeah, you nailed it with that Bokor Plus Aparro. I've had mine for a few years and yes, I've batoned with mine but it's still as solid as it was when I first got it. The Buckmaster #184 is a very solid knife and it's put together similar to the Martin Design. And I would love to buy a Custom Martin Hollow Handle Survival Knife I think their skme kf the best. But they are pricy. I think I have a nice Stable of Hollow Handle Survival Knives, and perhaps one reason I didn't get a Martin yet is because I'm very pleased with my Bokor Plus Aparro which is a little less expensive, it's a good one. Actually I like it a little better than my Buckmaster #184 because I like the 440c. better than the 425 Mod. Steel, The 440c. to me hold's a better edge. Another pricy hollow handle survival knife is my Randall Made Model #18 which Randall Silver Solders theirs and so far it too is holding up withought any signs of weakness. But for the money, I really love my Bokor Aparro. Anyone that knocks a hollow handle survival knife, I say, "Try it you'll like it" (Bokor Plus Aparro). The only down side to my Bokor Plus Aparro is, if you want the Compass, You can get one from Matin Knives, I think ? and the Compass costs about $50.00, and back a few years I only paid $100.00 for my Aparro. After a few years of using it, Would I buy it again ? Most defenetly, I would defenetly suggest the Bokor Plus Aparro to everyone that's serious on using a hollow handle survival knife, to get one (Bokor Plus Aparro). I've been very happy with mine. I grew up on the 440c. Stainless Steel, it was at one time top of the line back then, If properly Tempered it's a pretty good steel, And Bokor does a good job tempering their 440c.

I have a Jimmy Lile Sly II no dot. I used it for a few years then put it away because Jimmy died. That thing is wonderful and lately I have had the itch to take it to the woods but then I see how much there going for on E-Bay and put it back in the drawer. Lol

Hmmm I cant wait to see what your own creation will look like, though I will more than likely not be able to make blade show. P.S. Randy down in Houston area told me to tell you hello. ;)

I’ve got the Martin wtk,, not a hollow handle but Super well made overbuilt knife!! If you want a real knife this is it ,,not a cheap over produced knife that will fail!! Love hollow handles and there’s only a very select few that are quality,,Martin is one of them, buck masters r ok too!!

The only good hollow handle knife that I know is the Aitor Jungle King, it's a Spanish knife.
