@mehylotic That may be the case but teaching someone something takes time. The same thing with smithing. Properly crafted knives and swords take a fair bit of time if smithed by hand.

God I spent 2 days trying to kill the fucking mantis, and then I see this and it’s like... really? I admit I’m a fucking noob, but oh god....

I got stuck a lot in my playthroughs, the longest on watchers knights. And I paniced when I encounterd Nosk, died, and went straight to Jiji. And I got stuck on Hornet... twice...

The moment he walked past him I was about to write this exact comment! It made my heart ache hearing him call for him :c

Not quite since everyone moves at normal speed. Ascended and radiant bosses are alot faster than normal

@alpha I didn't do it with the speedrun methods but in my first run I actually killed Monomon without Shadow Dash or Isma Tear

Are nobody talking about how Path of pain no hit is probably harder than to beat the whole game no hit? I mean he’s speedrunning so of course that’s really hard but if you casually beat Hollow knight no hit it would be way easier as you could play extra safe, however Path of pain cannot be beat by just playing safe (also you could train in another save file to beat the bosses in radiant difficulty without using any abilities you don’t have yet in your 1hit run and when your sure you got it do it in your actual run and it shouldn’t take more than a couples of tries (especially as THK is pretty slow and easy))

@@ReeversUhHuhpath of pain runs are far shorter and less punishing for failing though. with this if you die to watcher knights or something thats half an hour of progress gone down the drain, more if youre not speedrunning path of pain is precise but beating it normally is basically just a no hit run but segmented. after beating it my first time i didnt get hit all too much my second run so i could imagine doing a hitless run myself. with the full game id also imagine it possible but far more difficult because of how long you have to go while playing perfectly

I thought i was good for first-trying radiance wthout getting hit on my first steel soul run. Learning that AbsRadiance destroys me was already a heavy blow, but this speedrun... i heard my soul shatter

I took three days to beat NKG, but I played for like seven hours lol. I have yet to beat him no hit, I always use the kinda lame strategy:Deep focus+shape of unn.

also when you have inventory open while falling your falling speed increases (its a small bug), in my english version it doesn't work tho

1Grainer1 old post but you can still do it, it just takes I think a frame-perfect menu press as you fall off a ledge. It won’t let you enter the inventory while already falling anymore

There's only 4 places where they are grub mimics in the game, he knows it's not a grub mimic, they are not set randomly to being a grub Mimic or not

He has said in other sped runs that it just goes against his speed runner instincts or something like that

HaH hAh I have like, 130(?) hours. But it beat me 7 hours to beat Hornet Protecter so uh, yeah. You get *WAY* better. I never expected to be able to beat the game really.

Hm, honestly, I didn't die to the same thing too often. Mostly I'd just die to random stuff. Walking into enemies, stuff like that. Contact damage is tough to deal with.
