A nearly flawless attempt (hit once, which knocked me into the spikes) at Mantis Lords in the game Hollow Knight (Metroidvania Platformer).

They are my favorite boss fight, especially the music and how they bow afterwards, took me a few days to defeat them but was worth it and miss them too.

I beat them first try AND on one HP, the last one was doing the down slash thing and I accidentally used vengeful spirit on the last nano second (ok so maybe not a nano second but you get the point), and won.

I know, it is not so hard, but when challenged them for the first time, in my first playthrough, I got my ass kicked so hard, for so many times... I was almost ragequit the game. But now I know that was this battle, that made keep me playing the game. So epic, so amazin the feeling when u defeat them...The "bound" of respect that u make with the mantis tribe...hahaha, everything so epic.

Holden Caulfield lol don't know what to tell you. Watch videos, learn their moves, and try until you get it. The upgrade to heal faster is usefull, as is the one that gives longer damage immunity after taking damage.

Vaars videos helped, after watching a couple i realized that attempts at healing were my mistake, and eventually i succeeded! deeply disappointed in the rewards though.

Mike Cheeze there is no easy the only extra mode is steel soul and that’s where you only get one life

@@mikecheeze4312 There are only two modes normal and steel soul. He has upgraded his sword which means it does more damage and thus he doesn’t have to hit them as much.

These three beat me quite a lot, mainly because I had a level 1 nail and didn’t have quick focus (because I didn’t have the right amount of money)

I wish I hadn't done this fight so late in the game. I would suggest doing it right after you get dreamnail, so it's not too easy.

When they do the horizontal slash, I found that with a skillful amount of steering and timing, I could land a pogo and a butt hit. Just sayin’ it coulda been faster.

I defeated Soul Master relatively easily on the second try, but for some reason I can not cope with them. When he is alone, everything is normal, but two at the same time is too much for me.

That's funny to hear because soul master gave me hard time, 6 tries, but mantis lord were easy and fun for me. 1st try. Its like dark souls and bloodborne all over again. Depending on skill and playstyle, different people will rise and fall at different sections

I am at the second Hornet fight and it is heck! The first fight was hard enough for me, in the second it’s those spiky balls of hate that get me when she puts them all over.

It kind of is when you start anticipating the attacks in sets of 2. Also, healing after a pair of attacks is easy when you have Baldur charm, there's a good chance that they'll hang off the walls and do their shot attack which gives you enough time to heal if you do it in the corner.

No, he has to have it on the easiest mode... it takes me nearly 3x as many hits on normal while using my vengeful spirit every chance I get. Dude is a trying to look like he is a bad as lmao

cleared the game and watching this video. not only do they look slow to me now, but i also found that you can slip in one more slash when they are throwing discs. never noticed the change (in me)
