Week 3 of Chiefs OTAs are ongoing and Hollywood Brown continues to make noise. He beat CB Kelvin Joseph for a long TD on Tuesday on a perfect throw from Patrick Mahomes. Will Brown emerge as the Chiefs #1 WR? With Rashee Rice facing a potential suspension, the opportunity is there for Brown to play a major role in Andy Reid’s offense. Also, there’s a major Chiefs depth chart change as 2nd-year DB Chamarri Conner has been the starting nickel throughout the offseason program. Unless Toney gets out played during the preseason, the chiefs find a trading partner, or he does something criminal or detrimental to the Chiefs/NFL code of conduct, there's literally no reason to cut him.. he's young, he's never had a drop issue season prior to last season, he's still talented, and he's still got this last year on a rookie contract, they refused to extend it.. but he takes a salary hit against the Cap of 2.5mil either way.. might as well get to the 53 man roster cuts before you decide to cut him.. with Rashee Rice potentially suspended the Chiefs still need to keep their options open. If he could be cut with no cost against the Cap, or be traded for a 6th round pick, then I would be cool with just getting rid of him.. but he costs you 2.5 mil, and for that I'd just rather give him one last try. 👍

We'll see about the DBs after training camp and preseason. That will hash everyone and everything out. Don't get into a rush.The cream will rise to the top before the regular season. All the young players will rotate and platoon.
