Lauren Holt is basically an extra. She hasn't been funny in any of the sketches where they've given her lines. That's probably why they cut her lines in this sketch, if she even had any. Her personality resembles wallpaper and I doubt she'll last very long on SNL. Chloe, Andrew, and to a certain degree Punkie are clearly being developed to become repertory players, because they have stage presence and can be quite funny. Bowen Yang is the most natural and funny sketch comedian of the featured player bunch and will probably have a job on SNL for a long time if they can write enough sketches that are a good fit for his flamboyant persona.

@@goombapizza6335 Agreed. I just don't know what the plan was with her -- possibly being groomed as the new "curvy girl" once Aidy leaves? But even in the early going of the season (when Aidy was off shooting the final season of "Shrill" and Cecily was shooting "Schmigadoon!"), they were barely using her. Ego got a ton more screen time as a result, but Lauren was just...there. It reminds me of Chloe a couple of years ago, so there is hope. But, I wouldn't bet money on it.

But comparing her to the absolute fucking MONSTERS OF PEOPLE WHO SHOULD BE PUBLICLY EXECUTED is a little much. It should be noted that the person did not kill themselves and accepted an apology. Collider's article said this sketch highlights the sad nature is 90's culture. I think it actually shows the sad nature of Hollywood's cover-up machine. This stuff is coming out in the open, but it's been going on for decades, ever since our society began to idolize Hollywood and the music industry.

Man, this is the best skit SNL’s done since OJ Simpson hosted in ‘78! Or no, wait, there were some pretty good ones from both of the episodes Donald Trump hosted in 2004 AND in 2015...but then again, I have a soft spot for the January 11th 1997 episode and the May 20th 2006 episodes, both of which were hosted by Kevin Spacey. Mel Gibson’s 1989 episode is always a classic, too, and I’d be remiss if I didn’t mention any of Rosanne Barr’s three stints as a host in 1991, 1992, and 1993! And who could forget Rudy Giuliani in 1997? Man, I love going back and watching all those old episodes with such beloved hosts- [THE REMAINING PORTION OF THIS COMMENT HAS BEEN OMITTED]
