How fun is this theme lol the collection box is so cool and the polishes are so interesting and unique, I really appreciate the literal Mars focus as opposed to the more generic galaxy vibe. I have to admit that this is the first HT collection in a long time that has not thrilled me! I really dislike the box itself, and the only two shades I like are solo mission and alien invasion. I'm honestly shocked at my own opinions this time! 😆😆😆 On the bright side, this means I'll save a bit of money. What I'm really excited about is that HT is releasing more jellies in general! I hope we can get something similar to solo mission in other colors. Thanks for swatching!

Love the NASA shirt! I am stunned to see the turn around getting the review up. Thank you so much for the work it took to bring it to us so fast. I love this collection! It has the warm, rusty reds/pinks/oranges that I love. I was going to wait but decided to get all but Waste of Space. I don’t wear black polish much and have Orly View from L2 from their NASA collaboration last year. It is close enough for me to not need the HT one.

I was super looking forward to your review - thanks for putting out the video so quick!! I was at first not that excited for this collection when I’m Rover It was first teased over the holidays, but I am now fully on board once I saw the entire collection. It’s such a fun take of a “space” theme without feeling over done. All the polishes looked so fun and worked really well together. I’m really enjoying Holo Taco putting out mixed formula collections. I feel like this showed a lot of growth of their creative vision! This one is honestly one of my fav from HT so far.

Alien infatuation is STUNING! 😮 I still frustrated I couldn’t grabbed Spirit Fingers. I want this polish so bad. I hope HT listens to you and makes more polishes in this finish. I truly love red/orangey special finishes. I already added I’m River it to my wishlist. This year I’m not buying right away, I rather to wait to see if I really want the polish to avoid impulsive shopping.

Isn’t it such a cool grey?! And aw I’m sorry you missed out on Spirit Fingers! I heard Emily DeMolly has a polish that looks super similar, called Written Invitation! I think if you search on the redditlaqueristas group you can find comparisons :) But yeah def still would love to see more non-grey versions of this finish lol! You know it’s my fav 😍 Yay for adding I’m Rover It to your wishlist! That’s so smart to not impulse buy and just wait a little. I’m glad they’ve improved with their stock etc so the polishes actually last a while and people can just buy later!

When this was announced, I really wasn’t that excited because I’m not that much of a warm reds kind polish girly. But I love space and they absolutely nailed the theme. I’m Rover it is so perfect. And they all go together, yet stand apart. And the alien green pop of color is so ingenious. My wallet is hurting though after Mooncat and holo taco releases on the same weekend.

Are you wearing Princess Leia space buns?🥹 Cool t- shirt🚀 😂😂 I am cackling because I legit didn’t think the packaging looked like meat but a) the way you said “and you know now I can’t unsee it” made laugh b) and now I can’t unsee it. I legit only saw red marbling in porceline, at first, now I see meat. OOOO Thank you for the swatches and the comparisons! I extra appreciate the comparison to Pumpkin King because I too found it fell very flat and that the red shimmer in the bottle didn't translate to the nail, while the Waste of Space really did pop the way I wanted Pumpkin King to!

The comparisons for orbite me were super helpful! I love the crushed holo, but thought it was looking pretty close to the browns. That red undertone is so pretty 😍 Also, the work you put in to get this out so quickly and match the theme is so impressive! I love your commentary and comparisons

Yesss!! I was waiting for your review. I really love the multi-finish collection. And agree with you that I love the slightly different planet focused angle they took with the space theme. I think my faves are Alien Infatuation (obvs) and a huge surprise to me, Waste of Space. I'm Rover It is up there. Overall I think the theming was great. LOVE that they're bringing out some more warm tones. Also love that they showed all the colors prior to the launch day. I'm waiting to pick these up since they're not limited edition but all of them are in my wish list for the future for sure!

So happy to deliver!! 🤗🤗 and right, I know she said they might do other plants but I can see that being a slippery slope because if you start doing some, people are gonna expect them all 😅🙈 but yess also loved that they showed all the colors beforehand too! I wonder if that had also fed into the fomo people were feeling where it’s like you HAVE to buy at launch otherwise you miss out? But then realizing later they didn’t even like all the colors.. I’m just glad to see HT finally move away from that and give people time to shop! I’m sure you’ll love them whenever you get them!! 🧡

@@PolishedYogi yes agree. I think they've been bang on recently with their stock amount too. The collection boxes have lasted quite a while. I think the retro collection was removed not too long ago, so I think the combo of colors out before launch, launch stream diving into more depth of the formula and then the large quantity is really helping FOMO (at least from me personally)

Really appreciate all of the comparisons! My mind immediately went to ILNP's Cross my Heart when I saw Solo Mission. But I'm guessing HT's would be way more on the mauve side in a direct comparison, not to mention the flakes are different. Either way, so pretty!

this week is wrecking me with polish options. I don't know if you agree since I've been into polish for less than years, but is this one of the greatest polish weeks ever? PPU to start out the week and like 17 bonkers collections? O__O My gut reaction on the collection was to scoop up Solo Mission but comparing it to Curfew Crasher makes me realize it's probably one of those pinks that doesn't work for me. so i probably get the crushed holo since that's always a good option! Waste of Space kind of looked like you were applying an ILNP thanks to that jelly, kind of like hex... although those flakies are completely different.

I only know BKL is launching something next week too but yeah I can’t imagine all the other indie brands releasing around this time as all, it’s a lot!! 😵 and oh yeah I wouldn’t even call Solo Mission pink, maybe it some lighting it can look lighter but it’s very much a brown mauve! oooo I can see the ILNP Hex comparison to Waste of Space! I’ll share those in my stories but yeah def similar vibes even tho the flakies are different. I def can’t recommend Orbite Me enough, it’s soo vampy! But that one also leans very brown too lol

Wow that TAT lol - kudos! Appreciate seeing them over black too, I love when polished mage does it. This collection was a surprise to me in the best way! since it's not limited I'm not feeling too rushed to grab anything, but I'll be needing alien invasion. the other shades seem perfect for a goron mani and it's all I can think about, so I'll probably eventually pick them up lol (minus maybe waste of space since I have things that will work well enough). Ugh I want Alien Infatuation so bad, it's such a unique color. It reminds me a little of a grey version of Mooncat's Access Denied, which I love. Also it actually looks really neat next to Spirit Fingers, if I had them both I might actually wear that half and half you showed 😄 Might pick that up + Orbite Me, I haven't gotten any of the crushed holos yet but that formula looks really pretty and I adore burgundy.

Hi Stephanie! 😊I was eagerly waiting for your review!!!, because I did like the collection but had my doubts too with Orbite Me vs Espresso YH, and Rover vs Tax Haven (both collections that I happen to have) I still think Rover is very close to Tax Haven, the only colour I personally think I wouldn't buy. What I would love though is to Holo Taco make more finishes like Alien Infatuation. Spirit Fingers was sold out like no shade before and there's a reason for it, but was LE. Mooncat has lots of polishes like that and I think they are gorgeous! Anyway, thank you sooo much for this review, you cannot believe how helpful it was to make up my mind!!! Isn’t it stunning?! I would say yes and no, Cristine mentioned I’m Rover It is the new finish because it’s very shimmery but with the holo flakes, she mentioned Bottle Service having more like metallic kind of pigments and I think more of a uniform micro glitter instead of a flakie. But they have a similar vibe for sure !

I just love your space buns and NASA Tee! So so cute! 💖I was not super excited for this collection at first impression. Overall seems very Fall for me. But I do really like Orbite Me and Waste Of Space. I adore the crushed holo formula of Orbite me. I also really love I’m Rover It! But I think I may have a Potion Polish that is super similar. @@PolishedYogi I love how you always are so on theme! It’s the BEST! 🥰👏🏻❤️ I was thinking it might be similar It’s the Great Pumpkin, Everything Pumpkin, or even Everyday is Halloween. But I think closest would be It’s The Great Pumpkin by Potion Polish. Did you grab any of those last fall? I think the HT may lean a bit more red though. The more I see the HT the more I am convincing myself to grab it next time they have a sale to wear in the fall. I’m glad it is not LE!

i love all the mixed formula cole toons they've been putting out. also i keep hoping someone will compare it to Plumb Luck cause they look the same to me with my stupid screen and eyes but oh well. still massively appreciate the comparisons you do show since so few people bother going through the effort!

Im rover it over left on red shifts the color a bit more red. And Alien infatuation over black is awesome if you don't use so much. I used orbite me over a silver stamp to make the stamp more subtle. Love this set

Thank you for always doing comparisons! I love the colors in this collection but also wonder if I already have dupes. Thank you for showing Pumpkin King - that’s one I wondered about! Also curious how close ILNP Spiced Cider is to I’m Rover It, and how close ILNP Bear Hug is to Orbite Me (sounds like Orbite Me is redder). And lastly wasn’t sure how close Solo Mission might be to ILNP Daybreak. I need to study the swatch footage next to my bottles and keep thinking :) but if I didn’t already have close-ish colors I’d get this whole collection. I think I will be getting Alien Infatuation regardless, it would be all new to my collection and I love the vibes 👽

of course!! its always the first thing i think of with every new release lol happy to hear the Pumpkin King comparison was helpful but ooh yeah i can kinda see those similarities with those ILNP shades; Spiced Cider isn’t as orangey as Rover, not to mention the more glowy shimmer finish and yeah Orbite Me is redder than Bear Hug, i’ll do some bottke comps in my IG stories if you wanna see! Solo Mission is a lot darker and browner than Daybreak too, with diff colored flakies, i would say those two are the least similar from the ones you mentioned. i’m glad you’re lovingg Alien Infatuation though!! its such a fun one 👽💚🛸

Love the comparisons and space buns! I really enjoy space-themed polishes and maybe the collection fits the theme well; but if you don't take the theme into consideration, the polishes are really lackluster and don't stand well on their own. I'm not planning on purchasing any of these. I also don't like the colors for this time of year, but I could get over that if they were more appealing.

Love the hair and omg this epic turnaround time - ALL the kudos to you!! And THANK YOU for showing them over black; i'd also wondered. Overall i like these fancy finishes and i hope to see more of these from HT! But so true that this is a fall palette! Mars for Valentine's is giving edgy 'love is war' vibes that feels more Mooncat tbh 😂 though i guess Venus' gold/yellow tones also won't be a better fit for this season ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ i'm finding i'm truly basic when it comes to spring nails/vibes, where i do actl wear darker clothing all year round. give me all the dreamy pastels and shimmery flakies and sakura-flavored Pocky and matcha if yall don't want them!! 🤣

I’m glad holo taco is moving away from the “holo taco color story” I like the crushed holo one and the ones with flakies. Do you happen to have Eternal Infatuation from Live Love Polish? When I saw Solo Mission it reminded me of Eternal Infatuation at least vibes wise; the colors seem to be slightly different

Have you compared Orbite Me next to ILNP's Spiced Cider? Color looks very similar as does the finish, but I'm not sure. Still waiting on my Holo Taco order to come in so I can compare myself.

Ooo see u said the first one shifts to yellow but it was just your light cuz then when u put it beside black it was normal and honestly yellow would've ruined it

? The shift to yellow was due to the angle of the light, when I swatched it over black I just didn’t adjust the angle again to show that but it doesn’t mean the flakies still don’t look yellow in some angles of light lol

Wow! You turned this review around FAST! This collection isn't quite my vibe except for "I'm Rover It" (which is the funniest name to me), BUT I am REALLY hopeful that there might be more planet collections this year. I think it would be so so cool if there was a collection for each planet in our solar system (plus honorary mention for Pluto, RIP planet status), but I also know not everyone is into space themes. omg I don’t think I ever compared those on my IG stories so I’ll do that now, but they’re way different! Solo Mission is a lot darker like a milk chocolate brown and has more colorful pink/purple/orange flakes, while Daybreak is more of a lighter beige with a bit more sparse gold and orange flakes.

Hot take- I don’t love Cristine’s color palettes. I’m quite pale so deep polishes have so much contrast that I don’t find I need many shades. The only one I really love in this release is the alien infatuation, so no point getting the collection. I also don’t wear red or orange, though I see it’s unique to release a space theme which isn’t blue and black.
