Marie's book is highly educational but also an easy-read. I hope schools in BC make it a part of their standard curriculum for history or genocide studies classes

Hey there! Are you a student at St. Regis? I'm trying to get a hold of them but it's impossible. Maybe you can answer my questions! This a secondary school right or is it a UBC school? All the videos are on UBC campus. I'm really desperate to get in contact with somebody but they're websites been updating forever and I've been calling and calling all the different numbers I can find but no one's answering. How did you get their info? Is this school exclusive and if yes then how did u join? What's the school season? September or do you have a different school season then the rest of BC high schools. I don't even know if this is for high school or uni students. Please let me know how you got in and a hold of the staff?

Hi, I'm a parent of St. Regis. My daughter is a grade 11 student there and she's been with the school for the past 2 years. To answer your question, St. Regis is a grade 8-12 high school, so the kids you see in the videos are high school, not university students. The school is a "university-style" high school, which provides a blend of conventional high school education supplemented by post-secondary auxiliary programs to better prepare its students for post-secondary education. A large part of the school's education program takes place on UBC campus and are run with the help of university scholars and resources, such as its after-school student club activities. My daughter joined the UBC Solar Club and Aviary. We got to know about the school from an internal referral, which I believe is how most parents and find out and join the school. St. Regis doesn't do much PR because it's a small school community of only around 120 students and it has a long line-up of potential candidates wanting to join the school. The school seems to purposely want to remain small to deliver quality education. Oh and the regular school season is from September to June, just like any other high schools in BC. The way to contact the administration office is info@nschool.ca or the principal's office at paul.hsu@ncschool.ca. I hope this helps!@@juan_AB

@@juan_AB John pretty much summarized everything right there. Perhaps just one thing to add, the school also runs a lecture or event at least once a month featuring either a university professor, community leader or government representative. Specialized professionals such as engineers, lawyers, bankers and accountants from top-notch firms show up as well. My kid is also in St. Regis and this is his favorite part of the learning experience. He came home one day, fully excited, as he told me he possibly wants to become a counselling psychologist, a career he wasn't even aware of until he attended one of the lectures hosted by a UBC professor. Programs like these broadens a child's perspective and makes it possible for him to imagine different opportunities for the future.

Hi! Nice video. This is a secondary school right or is it a UBC school? All the videos are on UBC campus. I'm really desperate to get in contact with somebody but there's no website and I've been calling and calling all the different numbers I can find but no one's answering. How did all these other students or parents get your info? Is this school exclusive and if yes then how can I join? What's your school season? September or do you have a different school season then the rest of BC high schools. I don't even know if this is for high school or uni students. Please provide details in the comments at least because this video is recent so somebody please answer.

@@st.regissecondaryschool Hi St. Regis thank you for finally reaching out! It's almost impossible to get a hold of anyone or find you in the search results. It's been over a year since I was even able to see your website online so do you have any idea when you will put it on again? And can you please answer the rest of my questions! It'd be easier to call but none of the different numbers I see ever has anyone to pick up. It's really frustrating.
