I wonder why KFP can't build or fabricate stuff, but the Pemaloe can? Explain, Pocketpair.

Kiara goes on a short adventure into the Palworld world before her break, and finds the Chikipi design very adorable! Unfortunately, looks are where it ends for them, since their combat capabilities are almost null, and their worker roles amount to just sorting loose items and laying eggs. Minecraft chickens are damn near more valuable, and don't get me started on Harvest Moon chickens enabling 1/2 of the food dishes in those games - if not more.
If we want to compare this to the "P" word game, then they seem to be the equivalent of Furret. 10/10 cute design, but middling to bad in every other category when compared to their contemporaries. It makes me wish you can keep two within a single base slot, so an army of Chikipi is a possible thing to build up to that gives them a unique and potentially viable use. And I guess you can use them as a better parachute down the line, but that requires having one take up 1/5th of your party... and again, compared to being able to literally fly, they seem to fall a bit short (ba dum tss?).

lel from my understanding if you keep catching the chickens and find a bunch with good useful subskills building a ranch and putting the chickens in it will give you a crap ton of food eggs that you can literally keep your whole base fed

Yeah, in my game I've had just one in a ranch from the start of the game, I'm up to 10 pals in the base now, and between that and the couple of berry plantations you have to make to level your base, I have hundreds of spare food items stacking up.

You also need the ranch if you want to get into pal breeding, since the cakes require materials from several different ranch animals

Because of how shinys work a shiny Chikipi can actually be pretty good for combat, since even the shiny ones are pretty easy to catch it could become your go to combat pal for a while.

A cash shop, even just for cosmetics, can be a very difficult thing to balance since you are asking for people's _real money_ in exchange for virtual items. You can very easily create a nearly worthless in-game shop (Mann Co trading) or make the items _exclusive_ to paying up to get (a lot of gachas). Both extremes are bad, imo. I assume Kiara only means the best from saying that (hell, I'm not even 100% sure she's serious with that recommendation, seeing how she usually tackles grindy items in these games), since some devs literally won't care bother upgrading a feature at all unless they get direct monetary gains from working on it, but I will agree that the company in charge of this game hasn't had the best track record with respecting their player's money.

@@eeihral nah what they're paying is time. there's this game thats basically on life support that did this perfectly. if your willing to pay you probably get the cosmetics on day one, if you arent willing to pay and saved up some in game currencies you can buy it day one on the auction house since the whales probably got duplicates and are now selling it for a ridiculous price. if you didn't save money and is willing to grind you, can and buy the cosmetics at a mucb cheaper price one week after it was released. basically the free to play players are relying on whales to get premium cosmetics. now that's a win win

good points overall, but i realised that at the end of the day it doesnt matter, the devs will do what they will do, and if they game is compelling enough, we wont stop playing it to protest it
