From what I remember Kanata privated her King cover because she wasn't happy with it. She planned to release an improved version, and make the original available to channel members, at some point.

@@ADayinWhite the number of people who like the cover. yes sub numbers do play a role but if lets say 50% of your subs like your cover you start with that number. but that doesnt mean that those 50% will keep listening to it. im subbed to both suisei and calli yet i barely listen to their music more than once due to reason

@@headshothunt3r414 You are correct, but I'm fairly certain that 'replayability' is roughly the same percentage-wise when you reach numbers as massive as these. That's just how statistics work. In my opinion, to get that number of views, you need to get into the YT algorithm. That takes into account views, likes, comments, etc. (i.e. Overall engagement by the viewer). To get into the algorithm, you either need tons of views/subs or to luck out. In this case, I believe that my logic tracks (Subs --> Initial views --> Overall engagement --> Cover hits the algorithm --> More views --> More engagement --> Positive feedback loop). I'm not here to say that the Gura/Calli cover is bad or that there are no reasons to like it (especially since it has plenty of things that make it different from any other version). Instead, I'm saying that Suisei's technical skill is far more impressive and would have been rewarded as such had it reached a wider audience via more subscribers. Same goes for her _Saga Jihen_ cover vs. the original Zombieland Saga version. More people have been exposed to ZLS than to Hololive. Therefore, more views. Both are great, but one outshines the other.

I personally don’t really compare views for this kind of things, if I like their version then I like their version. I’d mald hard for Reine and Risu versions don’t get better placement if that’s the case. Reine’s version is totally remix and Risu technicality is on par with Suisei but Suisei is cooler. They could still get that much view even with lower subs that the others. You’re absolutely right, Suisei should be the top but you should remember: 1. Calli and Gura is collab cover so their views got combined. 2. Suisei got so many originals and covers and Phony is the more better cover by her so her subs mostly watch that more instead of King. Edit: Also yeah about Saga Jihen, the Zombie Land Saga version is absolute beast but in the it still lost to Hololive because it shows how famous Hololive is.

King is King, son.. SuiKing rules. Her version is the best. Suisei the truly idol.
