So after rewatching CC's debut stream I noticed a small easter egg. In her loading screen, there's a tea set colored red and blue, a reference to Elizabeth liking tea sets despite not liking tea. There's an orange measuring tape in the shape of Gigi's tail(?). Lastly there's a pink rose right in front of CC, a nod to Raora.

I love Cecilia's whole "I'm a good guy" *kicks over a can* *30 seconds pass* Cecilia, covered in the blood of three different people: "FOR JUSTICE!" Energy Her relationship with Raora is also amazing to watch through context, the tweets of the pings, their Minecraft server together, Raora sending an angry discord message, finding out she's wrong and replacing it with "Good morning". Raora herself is also lovely, and her chattini seem to slowly develop a lingo of their own (clippa clippa, skippa skippa, yappa yappa) which isn't suprising with how much of her streams she spends with talking to the chattini and forgetting what she was gonna do in the first place. From the get-go, Gigi was "just another gremlin" to me. But after giving her a chance by listening to her chit-chat streams, and watching her collabs, I too was astounded by the many amazing layers Gigi continues to reveal underneath all the chaos, not to mention her great entertaining skills. And this video has cemented my adoration for Gigi even more. She is never afraid to voice her opinions, and it is quite inspiring. Heck, all of Justice is an inspiring role model in their own way. If you're a casual doodler, we got Gigi and Liz. Want to be a pro artist? Raora has some good tips for you. Musician, game coder, animator, witty multilingual printer whisperer? CC all the way. Voice professional (+ Great Exardia vocab teacher)? I present to you, The Amazing Scarlet Queen (Liz). They are such a lovable multitalented and dazzling bunch. You can't help but root for them. FOR JUSTICE!! That said, I wanted to point out that Liz did the abrupt stop for added comedy (and to showcase her BBC parody BRB screen), but someone had already mentioned it. One of the great things about Liz is that she's very open about her admiration of not just Hololive, but also Stars. The fact that she managed to name all the subsets of HoloPro easily (Hololive, DEV_IS, Holostars, and Uproar,) and she's been active in the chats of the guys as well as the girls. Plus, the Flayon art in her debut (as a proud roon) and the art of Oga makes me happy. I'll say that she and Cecilia are probably tied for my favorite from this gen. GiGi is probably second, and Raora... I haven't really watched her content. Part of that is her streaming at 7 in the morning my time, but it's also partially that I don't think she's for me. Maybe if I watch a bit more of her content, that might change. But that's how I feel right now.

I'm super happy with Justice. The timezone thing is HUGE. EU Holo fans (the daytime employed ones anyway) have had very little that we can really grasp onto, Fauna and Ina stream at around 9-11pm GMT and they are probably the closest we've had for actually watchable live content. Now Gigi, Liz and Cici all stream at roughly prime-time for Western/Central Europe. Raora fills that early-afternoon EU (late-night JP) timeslot that other Holos like Botan also hang around in (which makes me wonder if Raora will attract that Slavic GMT+4/5 audience like Botan did). One thing I've really appreciated about Cici and Gigi particularly is that they seem willing to say "X is garbage". That might seem like a small thing, but the forced "clean-ness" of corpo Vtubers is something that's always bothered me, it gave me the impression that they weren't actually allowed to be honest, rather than that they studiously chose not to. However Cici and Gigi being willing to be honest and dunk on things has reassured me a little that it may not actually be top-down enforced. Great video mate, I like that you actually thought about it and justified your opinions with careful reference to the material, shockingly rare thing to be doing in this sphere.

9:56 - "I've seen a little bit of pushback on this concept, with some people calling it a 'gimmick'." Yeah, a freakin' awesome gimmick. Granted, I'm biased. I DM every weekend and I've always wanted to do something like that. Seeing Gigi's very successful execution, and how genuinely fun it was to interact with live, makes me want to actually go through with it.

Cover managed to make the 4th EN gen feel fresh despite them being the 4th gen. At this point most corpos make it feel like they are milking debut hype. But cover really stands by their philosophy of only debuting a gen if they find talented people.

Thanks for the thoughts and efforts! I'll add a couple of responses I thought of as I watched through: Gigi's lore video slides were done by her so it was intensely personal. I see the dolls she was working on/breaking as her "past lives", but Liz showed up in her life and convinced her the dollmaker herself is good enough. She's a cracked gamer (there are moments that leave me in actual awe) and quite funny. I was a semi-frequent viewer of both Cecilia and Raora's content pre hololive and your descriptions of them are spot on though there was a touch of melancholy to CC that is now noticeably absent for obvious reasons, but overall she's always been an absolute joy to watch. The amount of things she can do as showcased is staggering, and like you said there's practically no comparison other than Jerma. The same goes for Raora in that she's an absolute joy and has a sly sense of humor/doesn't take herself too seriously and creates a cozy atmosphere with ease. Anyway they are both quite experienced and the fans have taken to them extremely well which is thrilling for me. GG and CC are already my favorite duo as well. Just yesterday CC brought GG on for emotional support while struggling with a Sekiro boss and oneshotted it with her there, a perfect allegory if you ask me. Liz/Erb has room to grow and I appreciate that she doesn't hide from this. It's clear she wants to dive into the musical aspect of being a holomem so I think great things will come of that given time. Thanks again!

It's kind of unnecessarily harsh to say Nerissa not going through with the pregnancy gag is down to her not having the "guts" to do it. A long term gag like that would likely cut into various other things she might otherwise want to do more, or she likely couldn't properly conceptualize the idea enough to bring it into fruition (everyone can dream of making a concept, it's another to plan the specifics of how you're going to make it work), or even something as realizing she doesn't want to cement an association to herself with such a long-term gag, so on and so forth. The tone and language of the video makes it seem like Nerissa not doing the pregnancy gag is a black mark on her personality and her career, in a sort of "you didn't do this thing, therefore you're lesser in my eyes", when the kind of projects a vtuber doesn't do shouldn't be held against them.

Somehow, the algorithm brought me into this video. And all i can say is, for a first video, you did great and you somehow manage to be sincere, thorough and coherent in explaining why Justice is such a good vtuber generation. Not to mention the editing and the skits peppered in betwen. Although i can't help but to notice the usage of certain terms such as "livers" or "wave" meant that you have a bit of affinity towards "the other corpo", though i personally have no problem with that 😃 Overall, keep up the good work and hope that more people will discover your channel and content

Hololive made a set of good marketing tools with the original JP waves, and have perfected them over time, refining their art enough on a main stage so that the first EN wave exploded perfectly, and have been continuing to refine that overtime.

I looked at all of the debeu streams for Justice and enjoyed all of them. Not a very big Holo follower but I do enjoy some of their talents and these four might drag me down the Holo rabbit hole. I was mostly drawn to Celia and Roara though but do have a hard time catching their streams due to when they usually stream, (Roara starting her streams in the middle of my work day and ending when I get home...) but will pull up the vod of Roara's art streams just to relax while doing other stuff. Over all I like their whole dynamic and wish the girls all the luck they can get in the future. Also the comparison between Liz and Ama was spot on and a collab between them would be hillarious. Poor Cyu will have an anurism. Or Liz, Ama, Mata and Froot, that would be a chatter colab for the ages!

Why I do feel like I am watching a wedding of a cancer patient that knows they will going while every family members and guest are crying a tears of joy and sadness

I’m glad someone actually acknowledged Elizabeth’s singling tendencies. She’s a good singer yea but she turns it up a lil too much where it just doesn’t need to go crazy. A lot of the fandom tends to coddle their oshis and writes off any opinion that isn’t praise as hating and evil. As someone who’s been on the recieving end of said backlash from an opinion, the truth is appreciated.

A well-crafted, sincere opinion video. This fills an important void. For a long previous while Depressed Nosagi was the go-to source for objective facts, views and events on vtubers. Then he totally went off the rails, made apologies and then went on to full drama-mode with countless unbased criticisms on any drama and 4chan conspiracy theories within the vtubing content creation sphere, and biased open collaborations with dramatubers. I sincerely hope this new channel will fill in what Nousagi left; will keep an eye on this. But at the same time, hope this one knows the very fine line he walks.

Interesting analysis. Brought up some thoughts on Hololive lore (which I am a fan of) that I hadn't considered, mostly about how it's basically just something for them to run all over. The one thing I didn't follow was comparing Raora to Towa, though I like them both ot be fair. Also, I feel like I should watch some more of Ceci's streams and pay a lot more attention, I hadn't really watched her yet. The issue is of course timezones lol

Nothing wrong with liking Denauth. They're a fun little gen, especially Twisty, who's only crime was debuting at the wrong time. HoloJustice has been great so far, GG and Shiori really need a collab although that would probably give each of their mane-chans a nervous breakdown. Henma already needs therapy lol. P.S. HoloJustice is a refresher and the gen that follows closely to Myth. Justice is basically HoloMyth without Amelia Watson. Advent is what I’d call “Phase Advent” 😅 while HoloCouncil (with Sana) is like watching Teletubbies; hence Justice was the best gen to closely follow HoloMyth.

Gigi was indeed a big surprise, even not exactly understanding at first.

Whenever I'm at work at 4am I can bring up a cozy Raora stream. Very nice. Like you say any CC and GG collabs will be stellar. I love covers and karaoke, but the adlibs and fun can take away from the shine of her voice. Her singing is truly unbelievable, Elizabeth. Looking forward to their future~
