I had that experience with a shiny Kangaskhan in that same Great Marsh. Was just trying to catch a normal Kangaskhan for Dex entry. After a few failed attempts, I encountered a shiny one. Result was no different 😢

That's why I'm doing legendary mons last XD, I'll get to shiny hunting them once I complete the normal shiny mons in the nat dex (As long as you don't catch the legends, they will respawn every time you defeat the elite 4.. Killing and escaping will is okay)

I just preordered it! I’m so psyched for the new Hisuian Pokémon and the Mythical Pokémon! (I’m also hopeful that the new Pokémon will be able to be transferred to Pokémon HOME for the National Dex. After all, it just seems wrong to be lacking them in what is supposed to be the full Dex.

Crit captures can be as low as like 60% to capture. All depends on a bunch of factors

Crit Captures aren't guaranteed, just removes some of the RNG for ball shakes.
