The offcollab wasn’t even spoiled really, nerissa and shiori were already doing off collabs when she said it. Think it’s the “in Japan” part she shared which hadn’t been shared which isn’t a big deal. People being mad for people who aren’t mad themselves.

People that keep bringing up weird bits like her blended sandwiches have NOTHING and I do mean nothing going on in their lives. It's been more than a year time to move on, she's had surgery two or three times since then , had her wisdom teeth removed and all sorts of other odd things but that's what they lean into. I did my best to forget and no someone has to bring it up again

@@LukasJampen The death of the ID branch pretty much (aka when Niji merged them with the EN branch). Literally every single one of them started leaving back to back even before shit started to get bad in the public eye. They no longer had the support they used to have, their OG managers were replaced with shitty new ones and they were basically left to fend for themselves. I'm surprised they didn't leave sooner, though most of had already pretty abandoned their accounts and was focusing on their in real jobs or just made a whole new account to go indie/went back to their past lives.

@@LukasJampen Lack of funding and management probably, after the merge the ID branch died, those who know what gonna happened already left, the ones are left is dying a slow death. ID branch is abandoned, before it was the better branch out of all Niji branch, now there is no funding, no events, no sponsors, no merch sale or new outfits/models and no managers while Niji still taking a massive cut. Going independent would be no different, actually it would be better

And Selen said Bonbon was busy doing irl job despite their lack of collab, and to connect with Mika's story suddenly it all make sense now, he and the rest ID talents probably busy earn money to pay up that debt trap from niji

Yeah. Zero "spoilers". Even if it was, personally I don't see how that spoils the actual entertainment a person gets from the stream (if/when there is one) and the streamers themselves. That's me tho. But, in the bug picture it doesn't matter because you'll always find people who get their panties in a bunch for any little thing. Oh, a Vtuber took a picture _next_ to another streamer, or a streamer of the opposite sex. A Vtuber model uses colors that kind of, maybe, sort of, looks like a certain county flag's colors (by random coincidence) if you squint your eyes. A new Vtuber model reveals too much ...or covers up too much. The new direction a Vtuber is taking their music is "unacceptable". Or even _MENTIONING_ another Vtuber. ...There'll always be a group of people who can't stand another person's individuality, go figure.

Kiara is known to be "the voice" of EN members. Sometimes she just can't shut up from saying things that can lead to drama. Nothing wrong with it, but it's a habit that she has imo. Whether or not she intended to try to inform us indirectly or saying it unintentionally, she just can't help her self sometimes. Like if you know that saying something gonna cause a lil bit drama, don't talk about it geez...

I'd say it lasted a lot more than just a few weeks, part of the reason being how the sandwich arc ended. But it did die off a lot. I'm sure there are still people referencing it here and there, but I haven't seen it still being the main topic of discussion for people. Kinda like how people still associate Ina with a red crowbar, even though it's been forever since she played Half-Life. It stays in the back of people's minds. Not much you can do about that.

It's not like it was a big announcement or anything. The streams were even title off collab so they would obviously either have to be at one of their places or japan.

I'm starting to think that Kiara has a certain group in her fanbase who just like to make drama out of everything. She's been at the center of a fair few smaller dramas and nothingburgers, but when you look at what she's actually said and done it doesn't seem all that weird. So my working theory is that some of her "fans" just like to stir up drama where there isn't any

@@Arashi257 most times these people crying the loudest about fictional things being vile are guilty of doing vile real things in the real world. It's incredibly common to find out they get arrested or offed later one. there used to be a few twitter accounts I followed because they were really bad and had harassed people from my community so I just wanted to keep a check on them. Both of them got take out back like ol'yella apparently by people they crossed doing the thing they claimed others were doing in fictional settings.

It's pretty stupid for a streamer to rant after a period of silence like, are they expecting the fans to read their mind that she's not happy about it? Streamers create their own fuse about a topic that they don't enjoy 'till it snap, they rant, and the audience never realized they were mad about it. Easy solution: Talk about it as soon as you feel uncomfortable with it. Treat your audience like children, tell them to police other people who mention that thing and they will happily follow. On another topic, Fubuki's Fox = Cat is not a dead meme. Fubuki is one of the streamers who wear their memes like a badge of honor, she make cat videos and cat memes every now and then.

The joke is more than 18 months old. If unfunny people still think that's funny, then it's fine to tell them to stop, and if jerks wanna keep doing it to piss of Kronii, then that's an easy target to put on their back. Kronii isn't one to take shit from people, and if her community doesn't comply to her demands she'll let the faithfull ones murk the black sheeps. She is ruthless

I think she comes off as too serious in the comment at least to my limited thoughts but having the same joke repeated constantly with no updates could make improvisation and talking on stream much harder to get through so I understand putting a halt

No, you can address it, just only do it once and then move on. It’s fine to set boundaries for stale memes and jokes (see bottom-left memes for Kiara). The people that actually care about the streamer will listen and adhere to their wishes. The internet can do whatever tf it wants at that point.

Yeah, it feels a bit petty to think someone is malicious for beating a dead horse or getting upset over people engaging with content you made yourself. I think it would be better overall to just keep ignoring it instead of making a statement that tries to retroactively claim that "the joke was never funny! didn't you get the memo?". Like yeah I'm not slapping my knee and wheezing when someone calls Fubuki a cat but it's clear that a lot of people just aren't daily watchers and will then resort to the common denominator to communicate somehow. Someone else mentioned that when Irys had her debut there were some attempts to make IRS jokes, but it never caught on at all since she completely stonewalled it. I'm just a filthy clip watcher so I don't really care either way at the end of the day.

It doesn't help that Kronii only has maybe one or two other slightly interesting memes in her community that stand out, so of course people are gonna harp on the one actually interesting thing for so long.

@@XT873 I believe this is due to Kronii being upset the entire stream. With people reacting weirdly with the lack of booba in her new outfit. Compound this with people sending her supas talking about "forgetting timezones," mentioning the subway saga unprompted, which leads me to believe that this is her indirect way of saying she regrets doing that stream. What really broke the camel's back though is chat saying in a really sardonic way that she's "pretty sassy today" which if one understands social cues, would only make the person in question even more upset especially coming from strangers such as chat.

Well obviously Kroni doesnt like people making the joke anymore so two options a) not saying anything and hope it does away b) say something an hope people listen. She tried a it did not work now she tries b.... I think this will take care of about 90% of people making the joke that probably just did not know how she felt about it and also makes it easy to identify the remaining 10% that dont give a shit so that she can not give a shit about them also.

Exactly. It's the internet. The internet is going to do its thing regardless of whether Kronii or anybody else likes it or not. I could see if she was facing legitimate issues like harassment (like what Watson is currently experiencing) but she complaining about a meme that, like you said, she created. It goes to show just how out of touch with reality she and a large portion of her fanbase who blindly agree with everything she says really are.

Her appeal was her voice and her "ribbon." The former eventually stops being a novelty and she does her damndest to hide the latter. So, indeed, there's nothing.

It's interesting how money changes people's opinion on things. I'm sure kronii wasn't this angry about the dead old stale subway jokes when she made bank by streaming herself blending sandwiches and drinking them. She wasn't this hostile to the other hololive talents who made subway jokes at her either because collabing with them is worth more than some stupid paypig to her.
