カブトムシのゼリーは通常の物ゼリーよりも甘さが少し薄い代わりにタンパク質系の味(旨味)があり、食べやすいです。しかしよくあるゼリーよりはジェル系の方が美味しく口溶けも良いです。

I'm a non JP too, but there's shaved ice in my country. It's just a nice, chilling thing to eat during the summer when the heat is crazy. Tasty and cooling.
