4:22 Clark shoots over her left eye which is why her dribble pull up jumpers are always going to her left. And when she goes right she go all the way to the basket or pass. Left eye shooters can't do dribble pull ups going right. You can't play her straight up, you have to overplay her left side and force her right. She do most of her damage on that left wing.
@loverofhumanity
@loverofhumanity 2 ай бұрын
You nailed it. I always wondered why she's so effective at shooting since she's right handed but predominantly shoots going left usually off the dribble that's easy to block and it's like you said she brings the ball directly from the left shot pocket in one motion. That's why teams struggle to block it despite knowing she's gonna do it. It's actually pretty smart and it's a very small detail that most people may not notice. If she went left and brought it from her right which most players do it would be so much easier to contest.

The highlight reels and the news coverage don't really tell the story of how this was went. They say Clark was frustrated with herself because her shots weren't falling but they aren't pointing out that HC took her off her game by coming out hacking at her and the refs failed to get it under control until after one of the good Catholic girls just flat-out ran up to her and smashed her in the head with an elbow. She gets criticized for being a hot-head here which is absolutely nuts. She got hacked, the officials failed to do their job and she still dropped a game on them that would be career numbers for almost any player in the NCAA.

@loverofhumanity Which actually highlights how badass she is. 27 points. 10 assist. 8 rebounds. That's a career game for roughly 90% of women and men playing college basketball. Caitlin does it, we talk about her struggling lol. That's badass on her part.

One thing we learned for sure is how classless and dirty Holly Cross and their coach is.

Hitting the ball on your own head, yelling and following officials around whining about calls during a game is classless. Caitlin is highly overrated. Reese will make her cry very soon and am here for it😂

Sad that they got Caitlin having to be the slave and play all 40 minutes and has to be the ball hog because nobody else shoots at the pace she does.

Box score says 31 minutes. 10 assists were good for no less than 23 points, with at least three 3s.

She sat down for nearly 1/2 the 4th Qtr. and there are at least 3 others that can shoot from outside as well. They're still missing M. Davis, the true PG with that knee injury.

It's a 1 vs. 16 seed, which means in women's hoops that the 1 seed will be favored by anything from about 35 to 50 points. Enough the with the Caitlin Clark talk. Nobody watched this game because Gonzaga and Kansas was on at the same time.

I don't know a single men's college basketball player except the Iowa teams. I watched a men's game yesterday and they had a combined score of 39 at halftime. All one one and nobody knows how to shoot or pass. Terrible BB!
