I'd say it's always both. Even when you have a gift, you have to develop it. When I started playing, I would sometimes practice for 5+ hours a day...because I was always listening and trying to play what I heard. However, it 100% took the grace of GOD. That is why I always try to give HIM all the glory. If you desire to learn, dot he best you can with the resources available to you. These days the internet has anything you could be looking for. Blessings.

I will try to post a video about the piano. It is a 1930's Mason and Risch spinet upright piano. I place two UAD pencil mics on it, and I am recording in protools. I will be happy to share more soon via video. GOD bless you.
