Worth noting to use shadow fiend and hymn hope together, if possible, for increased mana regen.

Mana is a massive issue right now for hpriests - it’s one of the strongest healers in the game due to how strong circle of healing is and that it’s instant meaning can be done while moving which is OP on a lot of fights. Holy’s divine hymn is the strongest raid cd in game and it’s on a 3 min cd. The haste is 12.5% after accounting for 5% from raid and any points in darkness. Right now you have to run 1 in darkness and 2 in lower sfiend cd due to the mana issues, so the base haste you want before getting 5% from a raid is 6.52%.

I was just thinking about this. I reforged to get 12.52% haste but that was outside of raid. In raid, that put me up 18 of course. But since it's not enough to get to 2 ticks w/o lust or 3 ticks with lust then it's mostly wasted haste and would be better off reforging into mastery. I was so proud too that I could get it without raid buff though.

Just wondering what your opinion on lightwell is. By my maths it adds up to a potential 1875 hps on an 8minute if it is all effective healing at my gear level. When using it in raid I am the only one clicking it even in a very experienced raid group lol. Do you think it is worth training people to click it or just use other talents?

Lightwell is bad because the player base makes it bad. It comes down to the raid leader so if the raid leader isn't going to have the team use it, I by default, do NOT bring it.

Guys, and no offense to Javi; this dude doesn't even play Cata really. At least I can't find any logs. This is a pretty basic guide that is a good starting point for beginners but if you are looking for more advanced tips, look elsewhere. I came looking for more opinions on Haste breakpoints but he only mentions the first haste breakpoint as a soft cap. I am putting together a spread sheet to help with deciding when to reforge into haste to get past certain breakpoints.

@JaviHeals I couldn't find any more help on the haste breakpoints. I was able to reforge and get to the first haste breakpoint but then I realized I had forgotten about the 5% haste raid buff. So I had like 18.8% in raid. That did however put me over the troll Berzerking breakpoint but at the expense of a lot of mastery. Since Berzerking is for 10sec every 3min, it didn't make sense to sacrifice so much mastery for realistically 20sec of a 6-8 min fight.

Since Mana is such an issue at the moment, SoR has such a high value when the boss is at 10% but you're oom and the raid is getting pummeled. ANNOUNCE that you are killing yourself and then you can help help long enough to get the boss over the hump.

Wow that's really useful info no one had talked about disc being good this xpac, is that true? Huh that's amazing thanks dude you're a lifesaver. Here I thought I had to play a hard casting healer with phat CD's and awesome AoE because I just liked the class fantasy, that's why I am surfing around looking at everyone's opinions of Holy. But you said there is this discipline spec? Holy shit was this in original Cata too? I wonder if they used it on old prog, I wonder if this is gonna change the rate of content completion. Have you posted this on WoWhead? I think they need to know.
