Been pumping 200k overall heals in m+ recently. Which is crazh to me, since ive been playing holy all season. The recent buffs are pretty noticable.

This is an incredible video. I have never had an easier time following a wow spec guide. If you ever do more of these or updated ones for priest, I'd love it if they were structured like this. So much detail and still no overwhelming fluff that makes my adhd brain lose interest. I watched it twice cus it's so good.

Between the last Healing out Loud series video you posted for Holy (probably about 2-3 weeks) and now; I decided to test the waters of the disc spec… boy was that a mistake. The disc gameplay through Atonement is so engaging. Initially I felt a good amount of anxiety playing disc, due to not having the same sense of control that I typically do with Holy. I stuck with it and now with a better grasp on my abilities plus making gear changes to stack haste, I am loving it. The satisfaction of properly ramping and maintaining atonements perfectly through a huge pull is just not matched by much of any moments as Holy. I do find disc ramping in raid to not be very fun though haha. I am very happy you took the time to make this holy guide though, it is great to get some extra insight into the spec from a player of your caliber.

lol nice! I wouldn’t call that a mistake, disc is a blast in keys. The shift in focus to include a higher priority on dealing damage is very fun, and I agree it is very engaging! I’m with you on disc in raid though, I’m not nearly as much of a fan of it compared to m+. Holy in raid is my jam

After watching this I've learned that I am overwhelmingly overusing flash heal, even though i can comfortably run M+10's i'm not utilizing the kit correctly. Thankyou!

i am realizing, as a onetrick that never played another class then restro druid, i realy need a dummie guid. cuz i just finished boosting my char up and now i have no idea what to do. even the prio list not rly healping me cuz i dont rle get it.

Unfortunately I'm not 100% sure, but I believe it's a part of the UI package I'm running and not available as a separate WA. It's Atrocity's UI, which you can get by subbing to his twitch.

I really enjoy watching your content, it's really helpful! :) May i ask what wa/plater/addon (?) you use that adds those circles with 'KILL' or 'Target' around your nameplates? (waycrest manor footage) Could not figure it out and haven't seen it so far anywhere else. Thank you

Thanks! I’m not entirely sure what’s causing that Kill or Target functionality. I haven’t installed anything else beyond AUI’s default loadout for dungeons, so it’s probably a part of either his Plater or dungeon WA package. I have a video guide on setting up AUI from a fresh install if you are interested

Badass video man! One quick question, as I am yet new to Holy and healing in general. Why do you choose to spam Flash Heal in the Answered Prayers windows?

Thanks! Answered Prayers procs a short Apotheosis buff, which greatly increases your CDR on Holy Words, so you spam Flash Heal to get back your Serenity charges.

Thank you for this! What are your tips for movement and targeting as a holy priest? Like mouseover cast? I’m struggling with my movement and targeting my party members.

Np! Everyone is different, but I've found good success with a mix of click-to-cast and mouseover macros, and rebinding A and D to strafe instead of turn. That way you can easily move and dodge, keeping your mouse central and able to move quickly between right clicking to camera turn and reaching the frames to heal. If your unitframes aren't central on your screen, that is also a huge improvement; the smaller your mouse movements need to be to swap between movement and healing, the better. Mouseovers and click-to-cast also make things much more efficient, freeing up your mouse to go back to controlling your character. The UI spreadsheet linked in the description has all of my keybinds and mouseover macros if you are interested in what I use, but let me know if you have any additional questions and I'll be glad to help!

Amazingly well done guide. I had a question though. I was wondering why we don't take the talent rapid renew to increase renew healing by 35%. It seems like with all the talentsthatadd renew to a target, that would be really strong. Just curious as I haven't played a priest since cata and just got mine to 70 recently.

Rapid Recovery? The healing is still a trickle. Waste of a point. Renew is really just there to get procs with our 4set tier. Don't cast renew, it's applied with our holy words when you have the 2set tier. Even if you don't have tier set yet, casting renew is a waste a global and mana. Also there's a chance to get renew applied by prayer of mending (benediction).

@chidy9699 Thank you. Yeah, even with all of the extra benefits to renew from our tier set, it’s still not worth pressing or investing talents into. The opportunity cost for grabbing Rapid Recovery compared to other competing options in that section of the tree make it not worth it. Also, welcome back!

Im finding it difficult to replace tier 4 piece, bc the bonus is so good for 4 piece .. but needing to use better haste gear means losing 4 piece tier bonus .. bc blizz fk up of making holy so gd dependent on haste for fixing cooldown and cast speeds so much, but instead force us into high mastery which is damn near worthless if we want to make m+ progress .. at 472 gear 4 piece struggling to do keys over m+9’s .. 11s best been able to do, but deaths/wipe goes up exponentially at mythic 10+ very frustrating .. is it some gd requirement for ppl to die in higher keys.. I feel like mythic 10 vs gear (pugs) should not be as painful as they are for purist holy spec build.. this is in huge contrast to raiding, I literally dominate top of the charts on raiding, but mythics Im stuck at 9s basically

Considering we hardly stress on mana anymore. What has you deciding to pick "Enlightenment" rather than "Everlasting Light" allowing you to sneak into "Crisis Management" rather than "Prismatic Echoes"? I was feeling since mastery had such little value this season. It would be better put into a huge crit for flash heal. 23% Crit, 30% Haste, 20% mastery, and 22% vers unbuffed atm. 480 ilvl. The crit talent node would still have a lot of value at that point, right?

The vast majority of Holy priests are running Enlightenment, but there is also plenty of data to support Everlasting Light and Crisis Management (even with Enlightenment), so yeah feel free to run whatever combo of those that you'd like to do. I like running and recommending Enlightenment because it puts a nail in the coffin of mana issues, and is especially helpful for people that watch the video that are either still gearing or are new to the spec and not playing optimally yet and may hit mana problems.

Thanks! I’m not actually running Vuhdo, most of my UI is all from Atrocity’s UI package called AUI. I have a video guide setting it up from a fresh install if you’re interested

I get that with the paywall, I just throw my Twitch Prime at it every now and then when I need to update. I use in-game click, might transition to Clique down the road as it is superior. The in-game options have been enough for my needs though

@@ragnongaming Yeah i tried it and couldn't get used to not using the mouse wheel up and down. With Clique I can. so I changed over to it. Also recently just changed over from Vuhdo the Clique which took a little getting used to but loving it. just lack the talent to heal very well.

I haven't played wow in years It's weird that I don't use prayer of healing when I used to spam it during heavy aoe phases years ago lol. And funnily enough my biggest heal came from mastery, renew anf flash heal

Yeah, it'd be nice if PoH got changed to be useful beyond just CDR for Sanctify in raid, and useable in M+ :(
